"What an honor it is to meet Avatar Aang's first girlfriend!"
— Won-Yee to Katara.[1]

Won-Yee was one of the founders of the Official Avatar Aang Fan Club.[1] She was later taught the ways of the Air Nomads by Avatar Aang himself and became one of the first Air Acolytes.[2]

History[]

Won-Yee and Hei-Won, presidents of the Ba Sing Se chapter of the Official Avatar Aang Fan Club, met Aang in Ba Sing Se while he was searching for a place to stay before he attended a conference with Earth King Kuei about the Harmony Restoration Movement. Won-Yee and Hei-Won fawned over Aang, much to the displeasure of Katara, and proceeded to invite him and Katara to stay in their clubhouse. She and the rest of the girls from the club spent the rest of the evening with Aang, telling him what they knew about him and Air Nomad culture. When Aang left, he described the feeling of the fan club as similar to that of being home with the other Air Nomads.[1]

Later, Won-Yee was among several members of the fan club present when Aang decided to show them Air Nomad culture. He said that from that point onward, they would not be known as the Official Avatar Aang Fan Club, but rather as the Air Acolytes.[2]
