This is a page explaining how to create custom signatures. I can only give you the basics because signatures is really about what you want to represent you. If you need any help you can write on my message wall and I will try and help in anyway I can. Also if you have anything to add to the page or if you see an error I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Having read the How to use Customized Text will help you in making you own signature.

*Everything in all caps must be replaced with your own information, everything else is optional*

Creating Your SignatureEdit

First create a page titled "User:YOUR USERNAME/sig". Leave nothing in that page except your signature. Everything on this page will appear in your signature.

You can add just about anything. Sprites, links, change colors and fonts, or even make your signature a saying or phrase.

Making it Your Default SignatureEdit

1.Once you have a signature you are happy with go to the "My Preferences" tab in the dropbox on the right hand corner.

Example of steps 2 and 3.

2.Check the box under signature that says "I want to use wikitext in my signature"

3.Right above it is box that says "Custom Signature". In that box type in

{{Subst:Nosubst|User:YOUR USERNAME/sig}}

Using SignatureEdit

Apply your default signature to a message is as simple as remembering three codes. The example in this one will be my personal signature.

This will give you only give your default signature. It is automatically added when you type the code below.

This is the most used code as using both a signature and a timestamp is considered good "wikiquette" for many forums and voting. This will give you both your default signature and timestamp. It is automatically added when you type the code below.
