I couldn't tell you/why she felt that way. She felt it every day.

Zuko watched it again. Katara getting her books, tears silently falling down. And he didn't know why.

And I couldn't help her. I just watched her make the same mistakes again.

He didn't know what to do, or how to help her. So he sat and watched that same scene happen every single day, wondering what to do.

What's wrong, what's wrong now? Too many, too many problems.

Zuko had no idea that Jet was back. And he was beating up on Katara.

Don't know where she belongs/where she belongs.

Katara knew she didn't belong there, with all the rich, fancy kids. And she didn't belong on the streets. Where did she belong?

She wants to go home/but nobody's home. It's where she lies, broken inside.

Zuko could help her, if she told him. Katara knew that much. But home was a place to stay safe, to avoid the rumors. To avoid the pain. So she went and kept her lies and broken dreams a secret.

With no place to go, no place to go. To dry her eyes. Broken inside.

She had nowhere to go. Nowhere to hide the tears and try to heal herself.

Open your eyes, and look outside, find the reasons why.

Zuko thought of everything, ran it all through his mind. The way she ran off after school, like some sort of scared bunny. That bruise on her arm, like somebody exploded on her. All these reasons led to one thing.

You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.

"I didn't do anything! I swear!"

She was crying, actually crying. Jet sat there, gloried in it, drank it all in like some kind of whiskey that someone else had to create.

"You're lying," he said as his fist connected with the side of her face. She'd lost the necklace her mother had left her.

Be strong, be strong now.

Zuko watched that scene, ready to break in and save her.

But he knew Katara was strong enough to ask for help.

Too many, too many problems.

"Why, Jet? Why are you doing this?"

Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.

"Because you deserve it."

Katara didn't know if she belonged here, or where she belonged. That was if she even belonged somewhere.

She wants to go home, but nobody's home. It's where she lies, broken inside.

She was broken. Her home was a prison, she had no one, and there was too much to bear.

Her feelings she hides. Her dreams she can’t find.

Did anybody know she loved Zuko? That she dreamed of being his one day?

She’s losing her mind. She’s falling behind.

Katara was going insane, and her schoolwork was too far behind because of the fear she held inside.

She can’t find her place. She’s losing her faith.

Not knowing where she was supposed to go, she prayed some miracle would happen, and she’d be rescued. But that prayer went unanswered.

She’s fallen from grace. She’s all over the place.

She knew there was no way to be saved. Her mind kept telling her that, over and over.

She wants to go home, but nobody’s home. It’s where she lies, broken inside.

Katara had no safe place. That horrible, abusive environment was her home. Her broken dream of a home.

She's lost inside, lost inside. Oh, oh yeah.

She's lost inside, lost inside, oh oh yeah.

Katara couldn't bear it. She was too far gone.

The last thing she saw was Zuko.

She smiled.
