The New Avatar?

I just recently heard about the new series of Avatar. Called Avatar: THe Legend of Korra (I hope I got that right). And I must say I feel conflicted, I'm happy to hear of more Avatar. But when I heard none of the characters from The Last Airbender would be in it I was apalled. It just wouldnt seem like Avatar without Aang, Appa, Zuko, Sokka, Katara, Azula and so forth would it? I'm afraid of how this might turn out. What do you think?
