It seems as though the popular suspicions of another Avatar series have been true: Viacom signed a deal of the trademarking of "Avatar: The Legend of Korra". Is this what we've been waiting for? Is it a sequel to A: TLA? Or is this a completely different series that has no relation to our beloved Avatar series?

Mike and Bryan did say, however, that they were playing around with a few Avatar-related ideas. Maybe this is the product of that.

  • And the name Korra... it does sound fairly Water Tribe-ish. Perhaps she (or he) is the next Avatar in line. That would follow the pattern of Air, Water, Earth, Fire.
  • Also, to heighten the idea of this being related to A: TLA even more, A: TLA was often referred to as Avatar: The Legend of Aang in some countries. It's even the title of the movie in some places!

Whatever it is, it certainly sounds like a continuation of Avatar. I'm not positive it is, but if that's the jist of the thing, I doubt it can compare to A: TLA. But that's just me.

In conclusion of this (almost) pointless blog, I believe that this series is thoroughly based off of A: TLA. If it isn't, oh well. We won't be able to enjoy a new series.
