Mia walked into Nazo’s room hoping he was ready. When she gets in the room, he’s still asleep. She thought he would be awake by now. It was close to 10 o’clock.
“Nazo wake up. You said you’ll go out with me today,” Mia said.
“What’s going on?” Aria asked as she walked into the room.
“He’s still asleep. Did he forget we were going out today?”
“He likes to sleep in. Besides if his bed is as comfortable as mine, I wouldn’t wake up either. You guys have nice beds.”
“We are the royal family.”
“That is true. Also don’t worry I can wake him up. I had to wake him up everyday of our journey.” Aria went into the bathroom and filled the bathtub full of ice-cold water. She then dragged him to the bathtub and dunks his head into the water. Nazo woke up on the first dunk and looked at his sister.
“Why did you do that for? I was sleeping,” Nazo said.
“Did you forget you were going out with Mia? It seems like you did.”
“No I didn’t forget. I set up the alarm clock to wake me up at 9.”
“Well something is wrong with the alarm clock then. It’s 10 o’clock and you didn’t even take a shower.”
“Are you serous! Mia is going to kill me.”
“Don’t worry she’s okay with it. Although I think she might be a little upset.”
“I better get ready then. Also please stop dunking my head in water. I don’t like that.”
“I won’t make any promises.” Nazo started to take a shower, while Mia waited outside his room. When he was ready he got out of the room and looked at Mia.
“Took you long enough,” Mia said.
“Sorry about that. Something was wrong with my alarm clock. You need to do something about that,” Nazo said.
“Don’t worry about it. As long as you didn’t forget I’m okay with it.”
“I’m getting hungry. So where do we go to eat?”
“I know a place we can go to. You’re going to love it.”
“I hope I do.”
“Trust me you will.” Mia and Nazo left the royal palace and went into the town. Aria went to meet Ash at the stables, where Blaze is being kept. When she gets there she sees Ash feeding her.
“Looks like you get to feed her after all this time,” Aria said.
“I do miss feeding her. I guess Nazo went out on his date,” Ash said.
“You can say that, although they don’t call it a date. They call it hanging out.”
“That’s how it starts. It just hanging out and when you know it, they start dating.”
“I’m starting to get worried.”
“About the Chimera? I’m getting worried to.”
“It’s not the Chimera. It’s about Nazo.”
“What about him?”
“I have this strange feeling that he will stay here, even after were done here.”
“Why would Nazo stay here? If we defeat the Chimera here, then there is no point in him staying here.”
“Don’t be stupid Ash. We both know he has feelings for Mia. It’s also obvious she has feeling for him to. I doubt the Fire Lord would allow his daughter to follow the Avatar on dangerous missions.”
“I’m starting to get what your saying. Your afraid he would abandon his duties as the Avatar to be with Mia.”
“I think that’s what going to happen. I hope it doesn’t.”
“Only time will tell. Right now lets not worry about that. Lets worry about the Chimera. There the real threat here.”
“Your right about that. Lets worry about them later.”
“Now it’s time to give Blaze a bath. She needs to be clean too you know.” As Ash and Aria give Blaze a bath, Nazo and Mia were at a restaurant eating breakfast.
“Your right about that food here. The food is great,” Nazo said
“I told you would like the food here,” Mia said.
“Do you come to this place a lot?”
“I come here when my parents aren’t watching me. I have to eat at home, because the food there is healthy for me. I don’t mind that, but healthy doesn’t allows mean it’s tasty.”
“My parents said that food made at home is always better then you.”
“Maybe there right. Lets stop talking about food. It’s just going to make me eat more and that won’t be good for my body.”
“I don’t really care. I can eat a lot and don’t care.”
“Then you’ll grow fat. You should take care of your body more.”
“Maybe I should, but that’s if I feel like caring.”
“What ever you say. Don’t blame me when you get fat.”
“Don’t worry I won’t.” After they were done eating, Mia pays the bill and they go for a walk in the park. It was nice day. The sun was bright and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The birds were singing and the people were happy. As Nazo and Mia walk by the lake they swam the other day, Mia stopped.
“What is it Mia?” Nazo asked.
“Nazo I have to tell you something,” Mia said.
“What do you have to tell me?” Mia went up to him and held his hand.
“I’m not sure how to say this, but I…” before she could finish an alarm went off.
“What’s going on?”
“It’s the Chimera alarm. The Chimera are here.”
“It’s about time they showed up.” They both looked at the wall protecting the city. When they looked up they saw the Chimera fleet.
“I never saw a fleet that big before,” Mia said.
“The same with me. I have to get you back to the palace,” Nazo said.
“What happens after that?”
“I’ll go face them. I won’t let this city fall.”
“Okay, but be careful. I don’t won’t to lose you like my mother.” Mia didn’t want lose him. She started to daydream about him dying. When she did a tear came down her face. Nazo held both her hand and looked at her in the eye.
“Don’t worry I’ll be okay. I won’t die, I promise.” Mia looked at him the eye. She trusted his words and they both started to head back to the palace. As they were heading back Ash and Aria started to look for them. In the Fire Lords war room, the generals start to talk about what to do.
“How many ships do they have?” the Fire Lord asked.
“They have over 300 ships. It’s the largest fleet the Chimera has ever assembled,” one of the generals, said.
“That tells me they really want this place. We can’t let them take this city. If they do, then the world will lose hope.”
“We know what will happen if they take this place. We will fight to our last breath.”
“How are we going to get the civilians out? We can’t afford the Chimera converting them.”
“Don’t worry my lord we got that covered. We found an underground river nearby. We have ships waiting to pick them up.”
“That’s good to hear. Have you been able to recover my daughter?”
“No sir, but she’s with the Avatar. I think they would come here first. When we do, we’ll get her out of here.”
“I hope they can get here fast. I don’t want to lose her.” As the generals and the Fire Lord were discussing on how to defeat the Chimera, The Chimera started to attack. The solders started to fight off the Chimera. Every time they take down a Chimera, five more come to take its place. Soon fighter jets were in the sky attacking any Chimera ship they see. A dogfight was raging over the skies between the fighter jets and the Chimera jet fighters. The whole capital was a war zone. While the fighting was going on Nazo and Mia had to take a detour because the path to the palace was blocked. As they walk towards the palace, a chimera come in front of them and threw a Chimera ‘hedgehog’ grenade at them. Nazo pushed Mia out of the way and some of the spikes from the grenade hit him. Mia used firebending to set the Chimera on fire and went to Nazo.
“Are you okay?” Mia asked with a worried voice.
“Don’t worry I’m fine. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine Nazo. We have to take those spikes out of you.”
“It’s going to hurt isn’t it?”
“What do you think?” Mia started to pull the spikes out. Every time she pulled one out Nazo screamed in pain. Once she pulled them all out they started to walk again. Ash, Aria and Blaze were helping soldiers fight off the Chimera, while they look for Nazo and Mia.
“Where could they be? We’ll never find at this rate,” Ash said.
“I hope their okay. I don’t think we can hold them back any longer,” Aria said.
“Keep on holding them back. We need to get these civilians out of here. We can’t let the Chimera convert them.” The ground started to shake and they knew what was coming.
“There bringing in the Goliaths. We have to get these people out of here now.” Once Nazo and Mia felt the ground shake, they ran as fast as they could. Then a fighter jet crashes near them and explodes. They were both caught in the explosion and knocked them both out. When Nazo woke up he saw Mia on the ground and she wasn’t moving. Nazo ran up to her, fearing she might be dead. When he gets to her, she opens her eyes. She looked at Nazo and smiles.
“Are you okay?” Nazo asks
“I’m not sure. I’m just happy you’re alive,” Mia said.
“You have to get up. We got to get out of here.”
“I don’t think I can. Nazo…” Nazo saw that she was bleeding and started to panic. He got water from a nearby well and started to heal her.
“You’re going to be okay Mia. Just stay with me.”
“Nazo I have to ell you something.”
“Can that wait? It’s not a good time to tell people things.”
“I think it is a good time. Nazo, I…” she passes out before she could finish. Nazo started to panic again. He wasn’t sure if he was healing her right. He didn’t know what to do and he started to think about his parents. He didn’t want to lose Mia. A group of Chimera came and surrounded him. There were ready to kill them, when Nazo went into the Avatar state. He unleashed a wave of air that cut the Chimeras heads off. He flew into the sky and looked at the Chimera fleet. He charged at it and took down any Chimera ship that got in his way. He saw a group of soldiers being ambushed by the Chimera. He created a wall of fire that killed the ambushing Chimera.
He then continued towards the fleet. Ash and Aria find Mia and put her on Blaze’s back.
“Is she okay?” Aria asked.
“I think she is. We need to find Nazo,” Ash said.
“Where could he have gone?” As Nazo kept getting closer to the fleet, killing every Chimera in his path, he bumps into a Goliath. He produces a big wall of air and hits the Goliath. He kept doing this in till the Goliath fell to the ground. Once he reached the fleet he started to destroy the ships, while avoiding enemy fire. Aria then sees Nazo when she started to Chimera ships being destroyed.
“What is he doing? If he died in the Avatar state, then the Avatar won’t be reincarnated,” Aria said.
“What did you say? Is Nazo that crazy? I though he didn’t master it,” Ash said
“He didn’t master it. We need to do something.”
“We have to stop him now, before he gets himself killed.” They started to fly towards Nazo, before he gets killed. Once they do reach Nazo they tried to calm him down.
“Nazo stop this. Your just going to get yourself killed.”
“Nazo can you hear me? We have to go now.” Nazo didn’t listen to them. He just kept on attacking. Mia woke up and saw Nazo.
“What is he doing?” Mia asked.
“What do you think he’s doing? Were trying to stop him, before he gets killed. You know what will happen if he dies in the Avatar state,” Aria said.
“Get me close to him. Maybe I can stop him.”
“I hope you can.” The got closer to Nazo and Mia grabbed his hand.
“Nazo please stop this. You promised me you wouldn’t die during the battle. So please stop this and lets leave this place together.” A tear came down Mia’s face and Nazo went out of the Avatar state. He fell onto Blaze’s back and the group flew away. Nazo was tired and fell asleep. The group looked down at the capital. It was over run by the Chimera. At the Chimera fleet Azmodan reported back to Diablo about the success of the battle.
“We have won Grand Master Diablo. The Fire Nation is ours,” Azmodan said.
“That’s good to hear. Now they have no hope left. Soon the rest of the Erath Kingdom will fall,” Diablo said.
“When that happens the Earth will be ours once again.”
“Yes it will be. Now finish off the remaining humans in the capital.”
“As you wish.” The group started to head towards the underground river to deliver Mia, but Mia didn’t want to go. She wanted to stay with the group.
“Are you sure Mia? Your father isn’t going to be happy with this,” Aria said.
“I don’t care. I just want to be with…” Mia said.
“I know how you feel about my brother. If the Chimera were defeated, he would have stayed with you.” Mia was happy that Aria understands why she was doing this. Mia soon fell asleep, as she was tired. Aria looked at Mia and Nazo. She noticed they were still holding hands.
“So where are we going?” Aria asked.
“I know a place we can go. I’ve been there before. It’s one of the advanced cities you’ll ever see.” As they flew towards this city, a man in a burnt clocked started to follow them.
