So our little dudes Bryke decided to murder our feels in the most excruciatingly painful way. My analysis on the ships they (and the psycho fans, and not the good kind) have set sail:
Bryke:
Korra and Mako; Makkora: The one that we know is going to happen, but with the chance that it will not. Similar to Aang and Katara; Kataang, but more bittersweet. Not trying to be biased, but this one isn't really... the best pairing. Being biased: Fuck Mako. I mean yeah, I like him as a character, and there's no problem with him liking Asami, but the way he treats Korra isn't really... kosher. To me. That was an opinion, so don't be offended. Plus, he was going to break off his friendship because she was fulfilling her Avatar duty.
Korra and Bolin; Borra/Kolin: 'One in a Million, You Wish nit Would Happen' ship. Similar to Sokka and Suki; Sukka/Sokki by ways of mutual feelings and puppy love. I personally would like to see this one. There wouldn't be the 'it's complicated' excuse shot around all the time, and Bolin's never been a jerk to her. Plus they were made for each other. She's strong, he's strong. She's funny, hhe's funny. She's beautiful, he's gorgeous! And when she's saved him from losing his bending, he wasn't condensending, embarrased, or humiliated. He even got her a gift basket (or some flowers I don't remember.) Plus he's got Pabu. Who doesn't love Pabu!?
Mako and Asami; Masami/Asako: The Pretty Pair. The athlete and billionaire. Real life reference: Bush and Kardashian. I like Asami and all (though my family members of whom watch LoK with me think she's an Equalist) but I don't think highly of her.And honestly, I thought she was going to break up with Mako when he lost the Tournament... Though I'm not a fan of this ship, I do believe this one should be. Not because I'm for Pretty Pairs, but because everything would be a lot easier on Team Avatar if they were together.
Psycho Fans:
Bolin and Asami; Bosami: Sloppy Leftover Pair. Korra and Mako are together. Asami and Bolin have no partners. But why...? This shouldn't even be a ship. It'll never... be. They funny nice guy and the billionaire...? Just not... eh. Not that they'd be a bad couple or anything, but no...
Bolin and Mako; Bako/Makolin: WTF to whoever started that. Why even... Why!?
Korra and Asami; Kosami: Maybe if this was real life, it could be possible, but since it's a show on a kids' network, there will be no homosexual activity. Also, I'm not for this one. I'm not homophobic or anything, it's just not a good pair.
Korra and Amon; Amorra/Korramon: The Never Gonna Happen but the Best Ship Out There Pair. Yes. YES. Bryke, pair them... I'm sorry y'all, but Amon is hot... Then again, I didn't believe this pair because of Korra Tumblr, but just from watching Amon and his perfect... everything.
Tenzin and Lin; Tenlin/Linzin: This technically isn't a ship, it was an actual pair, but it's probably better than Pemzin, because of age. Pema's like 20 years younger than Tenzin, but hey, nothin' wrong with that.
Tenzin and Amon; Tenon/Amenzin: Again, who came up with this one?
Korra and Tahno; Tahnorra/Kahno: This one... isn't my favorite, but I'd be amused if it happened. 'Cause I mean, minus Tahno's face, he's pretty sexy...
And finally, the other crazy ones that, yes, I've actually seen them around, not making them up, where all I have to say is "Dafuq...!?"
