My third interview, the interviewed being Omashu Rocks!
Here it is!
Me: Thanks for coming!
Omashu Rocks: My pleasure.
Q: To start off, where did the idea of making Avatar Brek come from?
A: Well, my first fanon had a rough start with a lame plot and a poor quality of writing. I decided to start anew with a more interesting storyline once I had taken a few writing tips from other authors and fanons. With all this talk of Korra on the wiki, I decided to write about her successor.
Q: What are you most proud of in Avatar Brek?
A: I am most proud of the villainous organization, the Isha. I am extremely happy with how each one has developed in their own, maniacal way. Although, this part is probably tied with the chapters' cliffhangers.
Q: What do you wish to improve on?
A: Of course, there's always room for improvement, but what I need to focus on most is slowing the pace of the story. Readers have occasionally pointed out that some chapters seem a bit rushed.
Q: Moving on. Where did your character ideas, such as personality? For example, Brek?
A: Brek's personality is actually based loosely on my brother's. He is always looking for ways to help others, and has unwavering determination. The other characters are simply what my imagination produced when I thought of, say cynical for Kimma or goofy for Kaeta.
Q: Now, the plot. Do you have your fanon planned out?
A: I do. it will conclude shortly and I guarantee that the ending will leave readers shocked.
Q: Do you have your ending in sight?
A: I suppose this is a similar question to the previous one, so I'll add that all of the factors that have been building up over time will culminate and produce a truly epic conclusion.
Q: What do you have in mind for the climax of your story?
A: The fanon's intensity builds with each chapter and the climax will probably occur just before the ending.
Q: Now, for more creation stuff. What problems do you have most in your writing?
A: I suppose my biggest problem is finding the time to sit down and type up another chapter.
Q: What do you plan on writing in the future?
A: As a matter of fact, I've already posted the main page for my next fanon, The House of Angkara. It will follow the lives of multiple rebellious citizens of an oppressive government. As a special feature, the fanon will depend heavily on the use of flashbacks.
Q: Now, for a fun ending to get some more of you, what kind of bending ability do you think you would have in the World of Avatar?
A: I would, without a shadow of a doubt, be an Earthbender.
