Nickelodeon's Twitter talks about release date
Yesterday Nickeldeon's Twitter replies twice to two tweets, about the new Avatar series Legend of Korra's release date. In one of them Nick states that they can't talk about it till they send out a press release, and in the other Nick claims to have an "elaborate plan" for Legend of Korra.

What I was thinking before reading this is that Legend of Korra's release date will be the same as The Promise Part 3, something like that would fit the "elaborate plan"

I hope it comes out on the anniversary of the ending of A:TLA. Think about it, they play a marathon of all the original episodes and then *boom* the premir of TLA:LOK!

In my opinion, they HAVE to EVENTUALLY tell us the date of the release somehow. They can't keep us in the dark like this. I think this "elaborate plan" thing sounds odd. I don't really get what they have planned and I do wish they'd hurry up.

Someone suggested that we ask Nick when they will tell us the release date, rather than asking for the release date itself.

^their would be so much rage from the fan base that . . . well i don't know. I know personally i would go into the main nick office and do so many horrible things. I cant even count them all that's how many. but the first couple start with a lot of PAIN and lot of sociological TORTURE. :) so this better not be a joke because im not joking either

i personaly think the elaborate pkan is that they are creating a big merchendising campagin you now legend of korra cups legend of korra backpacks end they need to have all that in stock before they start the series seems like the logical thing to do after the succes of the originol series now that they are making a new one they want to make as much money out of it as posible what do you all think?

Actually, if they go with A:TLoK, then they won't be able to because of trademark conflicts. If it's TLA:LoK, then yes. Talk to Hadsi, he's knowledgeable about all the legal stuff.

I think theyre going to release it after all the comics come out to maximize profits. That way, fans will keep buying them to have something until korra. with korra out, it may stop people from buying korra. on the flip side, people who dont know about the comics may want to buy the comics if nick advertises them during commercials. its a weird process.

You are right. I think there will be three total comics before. The promise part 1, 2, and 3. 2 is supposed to come out in May, so I would say the third would come out in August and then the show airs in September. Makes sense.

Their press release is March 14th in New York, March 27th in Los Angeles, and April 19th in Chicago.

I think this is true, but it may not be a press release that has Korra info. Nick has a buch of press releases.

Whether this is true or not, It seems like reasonable that this could be true. Around that time is when seasons are ending or starting anew. So this could be a perfect time to release the line-up Nick has set for there upcoming seasons.

They'll have to do it soon. They already announced that it will air this year, but an advertising campaign has to be given at least 1-2 months, before the show can officially air.
