Dai Li agents This is an official writing competition of the Fanonbenders! We hope you have fun participating!

After a very long hiatus, we're back with a new contest! Huzzah!

Now, for those of you who entered round 7, we haven't quite finished looking at them and deciding on a winner. This is due mostly because we're very slow and have been busy, but now with the addition of a returning member, we're ready to get back on track.

So, because it's getting into the month, we thought we'd publish the next prompt and then update the post when the results are out.

...And alas, the time has come to announce last month's results!

We had eight, count 'em, EIGHT great submissions for our "1,000 words" prompt, which is double the amount of entires we've had for the last three contests! Thank you all and congratulations on your spirited participation!

A Thousand Days by Bomochu told the story of two minor, yet lovable and intriguing characters from the original Avatar series, Meng and Piandao. How would those two ever interact with one another? Well, read Bomochu's take on the sword master's latest pupil to find out! In the story, we learn a very valuable life lesson from both the "Old Master," and the young, quirky girl from Aunt Wu's town. This thoughtful, fun, and well-written piece is certainly deserving of third place in such a competitive month.

Sparkstoaflame wowed us with her thought-provoking Glue, a unique perspective of the Equalist movement in Republic City from a young child eager to get involved in an important cause. In this nicely written tale, we are offered a sympathetic take on the antagonistic group of Book 1 of The Legend of Korra with a contrasting view of the political events that took place. You will thoroughly enjoy our second place entry, and it will leave you thinking.

The winner of this contest made us laugh, impressed us with his creativity, and put together a very well-written one-shot that we all agreed deserved the title of first place. Swampbender55's Talking Finale brought Korra into a hilarous scenario in which she reflects on the coming conclusion to her series with other popular characters from shows no longer on the air. It was a unique take on familiar characters that kept us laughing from start to finish. Congratulations, Swampbender55!

The participants can use the {{FBParticipate|round|fanon|type}} template, while Swampbender can add the {{FBWinner|round|fanon|type}} to his page. Just change 'round' to 'round 6', 'fanon' to your fanon's name, and 'type' with whether it was a one-shot or chapter.

So, it's December. Next month is January—the start of a new year and time to forget the guilt about completing none of your resolutions from 1/1/2014. The prompt here is more closely related to the Christmas spirit, but you know... non-denominational.

"Have one character give another a present. It has to be for some kind of special occasion."

Now, of course, that special occasion could be a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, funeral, bring-your-dad-to-school-day, a mugging, an explosion, a hijacking gone wrong.

Basically, an occasion that happens to be special for some reason.

And that's pretty much it. You have until January 4 for this, because who wants to be judging stories in the drunken haze of a week between Christmas and New Years? ^^" Also, family and stuff....

We apologise for being late, and thank you all for your patience. Good luck this month!
