Okay... After having watched the finale of Book 1 3 times I've come to the conculsion that I didn't really like the ending. Don't get me wrong, it was okay... I just eould have extended a few scenes. It feels as though the last 20 minutes of the show was so compressed! Everything happened so fast! Mako confessed his love to Korra. Korra lost her bending only to get it back within those 10 minutes. Amon is Tarrlok's brother. Amon is a water bender. Amon and Tensin die. It was so much that I could barely process everything at once! I honestly felt as though all that could have been at least 2 more chapters, you know... to give it more detail and more juiciness. Throughout the series I knew that Amon would have ended up taking her bending away, and I knew that she would get her airbending, that was very predictable. But I felt as though book 2 should have been her journey to getting back her bending and THEN defeating Amon and claim Republic City back.

Now I was ecstatic when Mako told Korra he loved her, but when I gave it some more thought... I realized that would be a huge mistake! For some reason I keep feeling that their love is going to come in between them in book 2. For some reason I keep getting the feeling that it's not going to end well. I feel as though Mako should have never confessed his love to Korra in Book 1. What the writers should have done was let the audience know in a subtle way that Mako does have feelings for Korra, as they did through chapters 1 - 11. That way their love, although not proclaimed in public, is known.

As for Amon and Tarrlok's death, I didn't really likeit. Both of them, brothers once more and then BAM! Tensin makes the boat explode. It's a nice touch... I probably wouldn't have killed Amon off just yet though... He could have been usefull in the sencond book.

What happened to Bolin and Asami?! Bolin was head over heels in-love with Korra... And Asami? She and Mako were actually together... How is she okay with that? It could have beendeveloped a little more...

I still look forward to Book 2... I'm very curious as to who the new antagonist will be.

Asami, maybe? I've had my speculations about her since the first chapter she appeared in. I never really liked her... I have a feeling that she's going to go rouge in Book 2...

Great Book... Can't wait for the next!
