Greetings, Avatar Wikians!
We have an exciting new project for Avatar fans. From Air Nomads' fruit pie to Fire Nation's fire flakes, food is an integral part of Avatar culture. And that is why we're calling upon all Avatards to pick their favorite item of food (or drink) from each nation: Fire Nation, Water Tribes, Air Nomads, Earth Kingdom, and as a tribute to the upcoming Book 2 of The Legend of Korra, Republic City in our Wikia Food Fiction.
The whole idea behind Food Fiction: Avatar Edition is to build the ultimate Avatar menu based on your expert knowledge of the universe. We're asking you to submit an Avatar-inspired menu in comments below, and then we'll pick some of our favorites and put the dishes to a vote on Recipes Wikia.
The Rules:
2. Select what you think is THE iconic dish for at least 3 of these 5 nations:
- Fire
- Water
- Earth
- Air
- Republic City
3. Submit your entry in comments. Provide a link to the food if it exists on Avatar Wiki.
- Remember: this is a menu for a Avatar-themed party. The more realistic, the better. Be creative since we want our menus that we vote on to be a little different from each other.
4. On Aug. 26, we’ll close submissions here and post a new blog with polls on Recipes Wikia. Each of the five polls will be made up of YOUR nominees for each nation.
5. On Sept. 2, we’ll close the polls, and announce the winning menu! After we post the menu, we’ll invite you all to try cooking one or more of the menu items, and post your photos of your efforts! You’ll be able to submit photos or video (actual photo, Instagram, Vine or YouTube video, etc) in the comments on the winning post.
