Okay guys, it's finally here! Since I know everyone just wants to hear the date I'll get right to it. Friday, September 13th at 7pm EST. That's the day we finally are awakened from our 15 month long hibernation from The Legend of Korra.
Book 2 airs at 7pm EST, which is rather unusual, as book 1's episodes were aired at 11am. It's also unusual because September 13th is a Friday, and Avatar: Legend of Korra typically airs on Saturday morning. If I recall correctly, the San Diego Comic-Con panel said that they would be keeping the same air time slot as last season. It will be interesting to see what they do about that.
Also interesting is the fact that many people have been speculating that the date would be revealed when The Last Airbender airs, due to a tweet from nick earlier. This is another case of something being released earlier than anticipated, however the difference is that this was more than likely intentional, unlike the early release for The Search Part 2 earlier this summer. Yet another reason it's unusual is that several sources have been reporting an air date on the 7th, including some top TV scheduling sources.
It was revealed via Yahoo, and included a [special video to go along with the short article. The video included scenes from Book 2, which although very short, still is something. Korra questions herself as the Avatar, and a voice sounding like Aang tells her to believe in herself. We see a scene where she and a few others are riding down a hill, and when they get to the bottom, Bolin's winter clothing is comically inflated, and he is deflated by one of the twins. There are some scenes that we saw in the Book 2 trailer as well.
The video can be viewed here: http://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/-the-legend-of-korra--book-2-premiere-date-revealed---exclusive-video--173004030.html
Personally, I'm very exited for this, and can't wait for the action to get rolling. What are your thoughts on this? What do you think of the video? Are you surprised by the date and time? Will the rest if the episodes be on Fridays? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
