|"What should I call you, other than "beautiful"?"|
|— Meelo flirting with Tuyen|
For this week, I decided to write about Tulo, which is also known as Meeyen. If you don't know, it's Meelo and Tuyen. If you don't remember who Tuyen is, check out her page.
Tulo is a ship that stemmed from one episode as there is only one episode that Tuyen even appeared in. Meelo really wanted to find a girlfriend and act like a hero while he was searching for Korra. As soon as he found a girl close to his age, he decided to flirt with her. Meelo tried to impress her with the mission she was on and called her beautiful. Tuyen actually did seem to be a little bit impressed by him as she flirted back. However, Ikki ruined the moment by interrupting them as she teased Meelo and then informed him that they had to move on. Tuyen gave Meelo a flower before he left.
I do ship Tulo, mainly because there was nobody else to ship with Meelo but also because I do find it to be cute. I have no problem with shipping some of the major characters with one-off characters as I already ship On Jaang, Jinko and Chanzula. Granted, the feelings between them seemed to be mutual even though it was just innocent flirting and nothing serious. While the two are probably too young to be in any sort of relationship, I still like this ship and like to hope that Meelo got to see Tuyen again at some point after the end of the series.
- Meelo and Tuyen seem to have a mutual interest in each other and enjoyed each others company.
- They are probably too young to be in any serious relationship. Meelo was only nine years old when they met.
So what are your thoughts on Tulo? Please feel free to comment and thank you for reading. While it is okay to compare other ships, please keep discussion centered around Tulo. Also, let me know what you would like to see next.
