Going to space in the Avatar Universe
(sorry if this is a duplicate, I got an error and the blog post didn't show up anywhere on my profile page, so i decided to post it again).
Recently I rewatched Wall-E, I couldn't help myself thinking that if the technological advancement in the Avatar UIniverse keeps going at thise rate, eventually they'll invent spaceships and go into space. This notion caused me to ask myself some questions:
-What does space look like in the Avatar Universe?
-What bending possibilities are there in space?
-What would the spaceships look like
and most impotantly:
- Would it make for a good story or would it ruin the Avatar Universe?
I Can't answer these question on my own so I would like you guys to speculate with me! Feel free to leave any thoughts on the matt…

The new Order of the White Lotus
So the season finale of The Legend of Korra has finaly been aired (for quite some time now). I recently rewatched all the episodes and the one thing that anoys me is not the fact that Mako is a complete jerk (in fact, I think it will make for some interesting stories in season 2), but rather the Order of the White Lotus.
The main reason for this is that in A:TLA the Order seemed like a bad-ass Order made up of very powerfull and wise old people like Iroh and Piandao with the purpose of bringing together people from all four countries to unravel the secrets of the universe and upholding balance in the world (by liberating Ba Sing Se for instance). But in TLOK the Order's only purpose seems to be training Korra and keeping her from contactin…
Soundbending
I've been thinking lately why airbenders don't have any special form of bending like metalbending or bloodbending and I came up with soundbending.
So the idea is that advanced airbenders can make the air vibrate to make diffrent tones. It can be used as a cultural form by making music and it can be used in battle by creating sonic booms or annoying high pitch sounds and stuff.
As for the discovery, perhaps Jinora or Ikki can become really skilled in making music later in life and she starts looking for other ways to make music, then she discovers soundbending.
