It is common when a follow up to a critically acclaimed story is released as a step down from the original. This has happened to the Star Wars prequels for instance. In my opinion, it has also happened to The Legend of Korra, as it is a step-down from Avatar: The Last Airbender. How? This blog will explain the top ten faults I have found with The Legend of Korra.

        • One of the main problems of this series as compared to the original is the original itself. Only one episode was dedicated to the story of Roku in the original series, while this show continuously shows more and more flashbacks to Aang and his friends. I believe the main reason for this wasn't to expand upon this show's history and mythology but was for fans of…

Here, read this blog already... you clicked on it... so read it. So tell me what's your favorite episode? What is your least favorite episode? Why is it? Who is your favorite character? Who is your least favorite character? Why? Just leave a comment below... or not, it's cool.

These are my top 3 episodes...
    • 3. The Serpent's Pass - Outstanding episode covering several different story archs.
    • 2. The Crossroads of Destiny - Great twist ending to the most structured Book of the series. Visuals score also.
    • 1. Lake Laogai - Scored with a perfect plot, twist, and gags. Great betrayal of themes such as deception and death.
    Now for the negative...
    • 3. The Northern Air Temple - While it had one of the best endings for Book 1 and a good theme behind it, this …

Let's cut down to the chase. I am reviewing each and every episode (unless the blog gets 0 comments), leading up to that movie by M. Night. I will throw in a few jokes here and there, but I am pretty much just here to point out valid facts that we should take into consideration when we watch the series.

Team Avatar journey to Kyoshi Island, why? To watch Aang ride on the back of a big fish. Unfortunately, as Qui-Gon Ginn once stated there is always a bigger fish. Soon after the gang is captured by female warriors. And then the episode's lesson takes place as Sokka's sexist attitude changes.

    • Analyze this: I believe this episode was originally intended as a filler, but ended up as a valuable plot point because Suki, the Kyoshi Warrior leader was b…

Aang, Katara, and Sokka arrive at Aang's old home from 100 years ago.

    • Analyze this: Aang doesn't believe that the Fire Nation could of attacked his temples, regardless Aang seems to be fine with the fact that Monk Gyatso and all his childhood friends are either extremely old or dead from old age.

"The only way to get to an Air Temple is on a Flying Bison, I doubt the Fire Nation have any of those."

    • Analyze this: Prior to the Mechanist's birth, th…

Aang returns to the tribe with Katara, where Sokka shuns him and the banishes him. Somehow Sokka's great instinct predicted that the Fire Navy would spot the flare, Sokka then covers himself with makeup.

    • Analyze this: Sokka seemed to complain about the dress in the episode The Warriors of Kyoshi but cared little about his makeup, that is because he seems to wear makeup when he readies for battle, which is kind of odd considering later we see w…
