As a lot of you know, I have been writing out a film series using the transcripts from the original episodes into a series of seven films as my own opinion of how a film series for Avatar: The Last Airbender should have been like.
I finished six already and redid the first three after improving the formula. I have been putting off the seventh one until I could think of a good use of content to start off the film.
Act 2 and 3 are to be made from the Sozin's Comet four parter, which was the easy part, but Act 1 needed a bit more of content in it, so I had to hold it off to think what I could use;
I already planned on using the beginnings to "The Southern Raiders" and "The Ember Island Players", but even if I wanted to use the whole of "The Ember Island Players", it still would have been too short. So I have been thinking about what to do with the seventh film:
I decided that I would include "Nightmares and Daydreams into it, a rewritten one that includes Zuko and Suki in it, and excluding the parts I already used in the fifth film, as a way to keep a part of the story and still be relevant to the plot.
As much as the Boy in the Iceberg play was, I feel that it's a little too silly, so I am going to do an overhaul of the whole play, but make sure that it ends the same way and with the ideal effect of demoralizing Aang about the possibility of losing.
So this is the plan then:
Act 1: "The Southern Raiders/The Ember Island Players" opening, rewrite of the "The Ember Island Players" main play, and the beginning of "Sozin's Comet Part 1: The Phoenix King"
Act 2: "Nightmares and Daydreams/Sozin's Comet Part 1: The Phoenix King" and "Sozin's Comet Part 2: The Old Masters"
Act 3:"Sozin's Comet Part 3: Into the Inferno" and "Sozin's Comet Part 4: Avatar Aang"
Thank you for reading and keep posted soon enough.
