User Group Edit

Hey MateyY. I want to make a user group revolving around the search engine optimization around the wiki. I think it should have something to do with "Navigation ..." Rollback rights Edit

As you are aware from past communications, you have made several breaches of the standards we expect from rollback users. Rollback users are expected, in their code of conduct, to follow all behavioural policies, such as our discussion policy, and it has been indicated to you in the past what the consequences of not doing so are. As we have discussed in the past, you have on more than one occasion acted in a way that "disrupt(s) the project and lead(s) to unproductive stress and conflict". You apologised for such disruption.

However, such apologies don't hold water unless they are followed through with a change in behaviour. I'm afraid that we are not satisfied that this is the actually the case. Here are some of the justifications for that conclusion:

1. You were known to be collaborating with a user that you reasonably should have known was sockpuppeting, and in your capacity as a rollback user, and therefore an anti-vandalism user, you maliciously did not report or take any other reasonable action. The conclusion that can be formed is that you did not exercise the integrity expected of a rollback user, resulting in a massive loss of trust (parallel to that which would be expected if an admin maliciously did not block a user clearly inside our blocking policy).
2. You hid that thread from public view with javascript, again casting much doubt on your ability to be trusted with privileges that are reserved for purposes of security.
3. You denied many elements of the collaborations referred to when the truth was demanded on IRC (such as denial that others were involved in creating the forum thread, denial that there was any such conspiracy, etc.) constituting a direct and serious breach of our policy on incivility, which specifically prohibits "lying or otherwise grossly misrepresenting a truth".

Such serious breaches of our standards are, as our rollback conduct policy puts it, "harming community cohesion". Therefore, after extensive consultation, it's with great regret that we have decided to remove your rollback rights. The specific express basis upon which this action is based is: "Sustained failure to follow behavioral policies in their entirety", as demonstrated by the third justification from above. However, independent of that express basis, we were particularly motivated on an implied basis for removing rights, that of the ability to be trusted with privileges. You demonstrably failed to live up to the standards of integrity and honour that must be upheld if rollback users are to fulfil their necessary function. But it must be emphasised that "failure to follow behavioral policies in their entirety" can stand alone as the basis for this action that has been taken.

This is, of course, not an indictment of your time on Avatar Wiki and as a rollback user. I maintain that you are a prolific and generally constructive contributor. However, your mistakes must be acknowledged and met with action in some way. I hope you will continue to contribute to the wiki in the same constructive way for many months to come. Excuse me? First of all, none of that happened on Avatar Wiki. Second of all, I'm still standing behind my words — Omar is no conspirator. I have not lied. If you want, check every single edit summary on Equality Wiki — make BlackMonkey restore all pages. I decided to make a forum, because of some of our administrators' arrogance. In fact, it is your ego that made you remove my rights — all of those things on that forum are true and unacceptable. If you have any respect left for this community, you would not go around and tell people they are conspiring. What I did, I did with good intentions. And if you're still honorable, I suggest you resign, because you have also done something complexly unacceptable of an administrator, bureaucrat, and person people look up to. It was not only my decision, although I think you hope it was so. I have no such ego to do something of that nature, something you clearly have failed to understand. This was a joint decision, with Vulmen removing your rights and me posting this statement, which he read beforehand and approved. In addition, five out of the other six admins were involved in this, as well as several rollback users. Policy permits bureaucrats to remove rights without consultation so extensive, but given the circumstances, I endeavoured to make all possible efforts to be sure of my conclusions.

Your arguments have not been accepted by this wiki, and I will not bother answering them again just for you. You will not get any resignation from me for this matter or anything relating to it. And your refusal to admit malicious intent in the matter will get you nowhere.

888, have you seen what you and the admins have done? Taking the control of the wiki, I suggest you and them resign and I hope new admins would be more constructive. Omar deserves to be allowed back to the wiki, and from my point of view reading, I see that you telling him of his position. I suggest resigning is a good key. Sshalwani, please don't use words you do not understand. It's clear by the ongoing forum that 888 and all the administrators mentioned there are handling with the community's trust behind them. Their actions have been deemed appropriate and correct by the community, so there is no ground what so ever on which 888 or anyone else should resign.

The debate about Omar is been done. It's not because you bring this up everywhere you go that it suddenly becomes less undone. Face it, you tried, you could not provide evidence that proved his innocence or proved the incriminating evidence against him to be untrue, so as Omar's defending lawyer, I think it is time you realized that the case of the other party is stronger than the one you brought and the community has ruled in their favor, case closed.

You're the best Matey! After the last happening I just don't care about the wiki anymore. It was such a shame your rights were removed, all I can say is that the admins are corrupted. I'd be glad to help you :). Simpler userboxes can be made using {{Userbox}}. More complicated userboxes wouldn't give you that much more than the one that you can make using the template, but if you want to, we can have a longer conversation about it. Otherwise, my rights were removed over the case of the forum, and that I hadn't reported a user being a socket puppet, which I had no idea about (I don't stalk other's talks). Basically, it requires an <iframe> tag which can only be added with JavaScript. I have made a few fixes to the page, and if you add this code to the Common.js, you'll be ready to go:

Hey Matey, so Henry told me you're the man to go for things like this. I was interested in writing a fanon-related article for the WLS, though I'm not sure if there's certain criteria for submitted articles that I might need to know. I can send you a rough draft of what I'm planning but the idea was to encourage people to reach out to fanons that need more attention. Not so much to just command people to start commenting on every unnoticed fanon, but just to point out some things that can make a huge difference to authors who just need someone encouraging. I've had some personal experiences with that too that I'd also elaborate on.
