A True Fire Ferret/Sig Design
Talk0this wiki
< User:A True Fire Ferret
Well, recently I've begun to notice that a lot of people's signatures are the default Wiki one, or maybe they are just black writing, with no links.
Worry no longer, if that is your problem! I am willing to create signatures for those who want them, and I'll be posting instructions for those who want to make their own but don't know how.
First, you can sign up to have me make a signature that you want. It will have specific details that you want to include. Or, you can allow me to create your signature for you. Finally, at the bottom, I will include instructions on how to make your own.

Sign-Up for Specific Signature
Edit
While signing up, please add:
- Colors: What color scheme/specific colors do you want me to use on your signature? Find a complete list here.
- Fonts:Any specifc font you want me to use on your signature?
- Sprites: (The pixel-y images) What characters do you want, if any. What faces? What position? You can find a list here.
- Links:What words should link up to what?
- Specific Wording:What exactly do you want it to say? Any small print with links afterwards?
Anything somehow included answering those questions will do.

Waiting List:
- AVATAR GYATSO TENZIN (Air Nomad colors any of them)(Aang Sprite Season 3.gif).
Sign-Up for Random Signature
Edit
While signing up, you may add:
- Colors: Colorful, or not?
- Fonts: Regular, or fancy?
- Sprites: Yes or no?
- Links: What should it link to?
If you want to, you may add those in somehow. If you aren't happy with your signature, feel free to contact me again to make a new one.

How to Make Your own Signature

Color, Fonts, and Sizes
Edit
It's always best to start at the beginning, so first what you want to do, is type:
<span style="
Now, what you want to do is add in more specific details, firstly, we will add in color. Go here for a list of all colors. Let's say I want to make mine blue. So, I would type:
<span style="color:blue
Now, we'll continue to move on with how to change font and font color. You want to cut off that piece of coding with a semi-colon, and need to choose what font you want. The standard one is helvetica, so if you want that font, you don't need to add in any coding. You can use pretty much any font that you can think of. Let's just say you want Herculanum (The Avatar font). You would type:
<span style="color:blue; font-family:herculanum
Next, you are going to want to change the font size. There are two different ways to specify what exactly you want. You can either type large, small, and keep adding X's if you want it to change, or, you can type the number pt font size you want. I recommend the number one, because it's more consistent. If I want mine to have a 12pt I would type:
<span style="color:blue; font-family:herculanum; font-size:12pt
Now we want to close off the code, which is simple. Just add a quotation mark and end it with one of ">" these, then type what you want it to say, and end the code. So:
<span style="color:blue; font-family:herculanum; font-size:12pt">ATFF</span>
And that would appear:
ATFF
Linking
Edit
Now, you will probably want it to link somewhere. Let's say I want it to link to my user page. To the beginning of the coding, I would add:
[[User: A True Fire Ferret|
to the BEGINNING. And to the END I would add:
]]
So, the whole code would appear:
<span style="color:blue; font-family:herculanum; font-size:12pt">ATFF</span>
And once typed would show up as:
Which links to my user page.
Sprites
Edit
Sprites are the little pixel-y images that appear at the end of signatures. You can choose from ones we currently have uploaded, or you can upload your own. Sprites are not necessary, and many users don't have them. However, you may want one, so here's how to get them.
Here is a link to all of the sprites we have on the website, and each of the image names. Here is a link to you can find sprites you want to upload. If you see one there that you want, upload it as if you were uploading an image to the website. NOTE: Only upload images you are 100% sure you want to use.
If you have ever added an image to a page, adding a sprite to a signature is very similar. Just add it in where you want it to go. To make it link somewhere, just include the link within the image. So, lets say I want to add in an Aang sprite, that links to my message wall. The coding would appear:
<span style="color:blue; font-family:herculanum; font-size:12pt">ATFF</span>
The coding has gotten a bit lengthy, so just scroll to see more. This would appear:
Finishing Touches
Edit
Now, you're wondering. That's great, but where do I put all of that. What you're going to want to do is create a user page. It's very similar to creating a page in canon space. Just copy and paste the link below into the bar, (the WHOLE thing, even the parts in black) and click create.
http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/User:/Signature
There you will write down your code. When you are done, you will click publish. Then, you will create another user page. Just copy on the link below, (Again, the WHOLE thing)paste it into the website bar, and click create.
http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/User:/Sig
Now, in that page, you will copy and paste the following into it:

When you are done, click publish again. Now, float your cursor over your name in the top corner of the page. A menu should appear. Click "My preferences" in the general section under signature, turn on Wiki text, and delete whatever is currently in the box. Put . Now click save. TADA! You did it! Enjoy your new signature.
