History

Four years after their daughter Korra was born, they realized she was the Avatar. Upon notifying the Order of the White Lotus, three representatives visited their home. When the White Lotus leader stated that the Order had already investigated several allegations about the Avatar's new identity, both in the Northern and the Southern Water Tribe, Senna was happy to reassure them that their search had come to an end. When they questioned her as to why she was so certain, she called in her daughter, who promptly displayed her waterbending, earthbending, and firebending abilities.

When Korra was seventeen, they bade their daughter farewell as she left the Southern Tribe to travel to Republic City in order to find her own path as the Avatar.[2]

Tonraq and Senna were present at the Southern Water Tribe compound as Katara attempted to remove Amon's bloodbending block from Korra and reconnect her to the elements. Katara's failure had left both parents distraught, though Korra's later encounter with the spirit of Avatar Aang resulted in her other elements being returned to her through the use of energybending. Tonraq and Senna were later present at the Avatar Temple to witness Korra use energybending to restore Lin Beifong's earthbending.
