Volume one

In the perilous environment of the South Pole, a tribal village struggles to eke out its survival. When young Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a young boy named Aang, they have no inkling that this mysterious stranger can save them — and the entire world.

Volume two

Aang must face his destiny as he fights for the Water Tribe's safety and his life. But even with the help of Katara, Sokka and his flying bison Appa, will he be able to escape Zuko's deadly clutches? The journey through the war-torn world continues, as Aang searches to find a master to teach him waterbending, the first step to becoming the Avatar!

Volume three

Aang cannot wait to take Sokka and Katara to the Air Temple where he was raised. But the temple has suddenly changed: Everyone he knew before is now one hundred years old - or dead! When the Air Temple unlocks some of the secrets of the Avatar, Aang leaves with a new purpose ...

Volume four

Aang and his companions fly to the Island of Kyoshi, where Aang is revered by all the townfolks. But while Aang is caught up in his new celebrity status, the Fire Nation attacks! With the island on the verge of flames, a female warrior named Suki may be the only hope for peace.

Volume five

Aang and the gang make it to the prosperous and beautiful city of Omashu - but before long, they find themselves on the wrong side of the law! In order to gain their freedom, the mad king has Aang run through a grueling series of tests, which triggers Aang's memory of an earthbending friend named Bumi he once knew long ago ...

Volume six

When Aang and company arrive in a small Earth Kingdom mining town that is controlled by the oppressive Fire Nation, they cross paths with a young boy named Haru, who keeps hidden a powerful secret for fear of being arrested. But the Fire Nation gets wind of this newly formed alliance, and the entire gang is thrown into a remote prison - with no escape in sight. Will Aang's destiny to save the world finally be sealed ... forever?

Volume seven

Aang's skills as the Avatar are put to the test when he attempts to rescue a village from a monster that's come from the Spirit World. When he fails miserably, Sokka is kidnapped and accidentally pulled into the Spirit World himself! Once there, will he gain the knowledge and experience it will take to bring peace back to the village?

Volume eight

There is not much information about this book, but it is based on the episodes "Winter Solstice, Part 1: The Spirit World" and "Winter Solstice, Part 2: Avatar Roku".
