On the Fanon Images Policy is states "The usages of galleries on fanons is not condoned, as the purpose of a fanon lies in the words, not the images accompanying them." I was just wondering if that "galleries" included sliders and slideshows, as I think you wrote these rules. It's just that I've been seeing a couple sliders start popping up on fanon pages recently, and I wasn't sure if that was permitted or not.
I think you are referring to the sliders some people have been putting up on the main pages of their stories. The aim of that policy is to keep giant galleries off the fanon pages, just like we do not like to have galleries on the canon pages. However, having a few images on a main page -though it would constitute as a gallery technically- is not the aim of the policy -much like sliders are used on canon main pages as well- and thus ca be allowed if they do not overdo it.
