Hiro was trained like Korra, all the bending arts were learned in one base (Korra's exception was Air). A new base however, in the Fire Nation Capital. Hiro would eventually learn the sub-elements by travelling to each division, but not all though, there are some places where he'd meet the masters instead and leave in a snap. The futurisic avatar world is quite diverse and big and Hiro wi'll have the learn some of them WHILE travelling in dangerous regions and not permanently in one place. Also, there are some sub-skills that can be unlocked through the end of the book (like what happend to Korra). It's quite random....
Hey I read your comment on the legend of Hiro page, the one you meant for me but commeted on the wrong on, about the prequel. You offered your help to me I will extend the same offer. If you ever need to pick someobody's brain you can ask me if you are stuck. :)
Thanks! You know...I've lately been thinking about the plot for the Air Nomad Avatar, and I think its quite a unique idea. (These ideas juts pop out!) :). I won't tell you yet though :). I'll just give you a hint/suggestion, the origin of the Air Avatar of what I'm thinking of must be born from the Cloud Sector. :)
I have been thinking a lot about it too. Also trying to look up places (NWT, SWT, Western Air Temple Ba Sing Se ...etc. ) I have also been thinking the cloud sector as well lol. :) I know a few things for sure though lol. :D
In the Legend of Hiro, we get to know about the history of the avatar aswell as diving into the world of the spirits (Such as the Akira, Angarah and the Bending spirits), and as of now, I'm thinking of expanding the story even more. For the Air Nomad Avatar I'll give you some hints :). I think it's good to focus on the origin of the Avatar World itself. How did the world came to be? Where did the four elements came from? How did the spirits came to be? and who is the first spirit, the prime leader, the creator, the almighty GOD? You know what....I'm already bursting :D ...I want to spill my idea! (but I'm warning you, I don't want it to conflict with your ideas, I know you want to do this Fanon :D)
Ok...Before the era of energy, the genesis took place. This goddess (unkown name yet) is actually the avatar world's version of mother nature (Gaea). In order to create the world, she created the four elements. Water made the oceans and sustained life, Fire brought light and warmth, Earth created land to support creatures of their needs and Air made everyone and everything breathe to life. Each of them we're given an instrument of power, a necklace for water, a circlet for air, a bracelt for earth and a ring for fire. For years to come, they were given a time of ultimate power. This time was known as the seasons. Water would harness her power during the time of winter and so on with the others. It was the circle of life.
Now back to present we're the Air Nomad Avatar is: Their was an air monk who was so obssesed with the knowledge and power of the spirits that he wanted to control it so that he can "change" the world (he believes that the world has lost discipline, honor, and so on). Being so spiritual, he ventured into the spirit world and made a plan to steal the power of the elements. With the elements gone, the world is falling apart, water is reducing, the sun is dimming etc. Now, there became another avatar, the evil air monk by stealing the instruments of power. He is also planning of defeating the Goddess and create a world of his own, by turning back time (with the seasons). The four seasons have also went out of control. Now the Avatar is destined to save the world by venturing the territories of each season (which is in the spirit world) and by stopping the Air Monk in changing time (so he'll to go back to the past...he may even meet child Aang etc. Exciting!). Luckily, he is Cloudbender, along with her waterbending sister. They can manipulate the weather. Will he able to save the elements in time or let the world be destroyed? (in Hiro, Aang, and Korra, the world is being invaded) This time, the world is being destroyed.
and I just want to point out that since the world is so futuristic now since it's after Hiro's time. Travelling back in tiime and venturing into the spirit for a majority of the series can still express the tradditional feel of the avatar world.
OMFG!!! When I was thinking of ideas of a major conflict I told my one friend what I wanted to do from the beging END OF THE AVATAR WORLD. And now you are telling me this^ (spying on me?) lol. I really like the idea of the evil monk. I had no idea how to do this though. So as of right now our ideas coincide, just yours are a tad more refined. I knew it would have to play on the spirits as well so this is great. You are really making me want to write. (but I will wait lol) I still have to finish the story of Kuruk and do the other avatars as well. Though every time I try to write about Kuruk (considering I know where it is going, I get very discouraged to write. Not to mention I am at a dry spot right now. Anyway, back to what else I was thinking the Avatar's name will be Corin ( if you had not guessed by my username, XD), I always wanted a sister so he was going to have one of those in the series (as it is based off myself.) I wanted him to be the scholar avatar. Meaning he found out who he was at a young age (like Korra) and studied intensly his whole life, traveling to each district and mastering all sub skills of each element ( I want him to have a thirst for knoweledge and power) by the time he is 22 and inventing a few. I also wanted to venture into the spirit world and find Wan Shi Tong and persuade him to bring his library back to the mortal world so he can learn as much as he can. In addition I think that he is going to be a very spiritual avatar meditating and meeting many of his past lives ( of course going to the spirit world will help this.) When I say many I want him to meet all the ones that I have listed in my fanon list.(you know what I mean by that right?) You have given me a lot to work with and I already see it coming together....you have no idea how excited I am! Also it is really great that we are thinking alike. That will make this so much smoother which also makes me very happy considering I have done a collaboration in the past when my partner was not on the same page as I was....worst writting experience ever.... >_<
Avatar: The Legend of Corin...Perfecto! ...I'm quite excited too despite Hiro not being finished yet :D. I love the name! (it actually sounds water tribe-y) but it's alright since the Air Nomad avatar has a water tribe heritage along with his waterbending sister. Good thing that our ideas are quite harmonious! I was afraid if it might create a conflict.
I have always thought of the Avatar World's end and the Gods. I mean come on, up to now, ther creators have not stated the history of the spirits. If the spirits guide the world, who is the creator and leader of the lot? :D
It's also good that the Avatar is a scholar. Make him very knowledgeable! We've never seen a very intelligent and strategic avatar before, but make him use this thirst for the good of mankind and not for selfish and evil acts (just like what the evil monk did). It's good to contrast the villain and the hero.
Also, I've been thinking of the finale of the series as an end of bending..what if during the penultimate chapters of the last book, people loose their bending due to the weakening of the elemental spirits and the evil monks consumption? I wonder what would Corin do to end it in the final battle! We'll good luck with the writing! :)
I know exactly what is going to happen....I'm not sure if I want to ruin the surprise though. I might write for four books of Avatar Corin I want to build it as much as ATLA built up for the finale. I want the world to be vast and diverse, I want to explore like Aang did (probably more). Also can I ask what your ideas are for a timeline I mean in your opinion how long do you think Korra is going to be around, how long is Aika going to be around, when is Hiro born? Then I can advace technology a bit more from Hiro to Corin and get an idea. Timelines are sorta my thing.
I recently changed the timeline in the Fanon. It now took 230 years later after Korra. Hiro is currently seventeen and will turn eighteen soon. So technically, Avatar Aiko died at 213 years after korra. Korra died at age 143 (she was very healthy indeed with all that masculinity and besides Kyosho still lived longer, 200+)
Therefore
Korra - born 70 years after aang - was 17 and died 126 years later (age 143)
Aiko - born 126 years later after Korra defeated amon - died 213 years later after korra defeated amom (age 87)
Hiro - born 213 years after korra - presently seventeen but is 18 this year (230 years after amon's defeat) - and will die at age 94 (306 years later after the defeat of amon)
Corin wil be born 306 years later after the defeat of amon - and is presently age 22 (328 years after the defeat of amon)
May I ask what you think of this be honest you wont hurt my feelings: “Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The Avatar, master of the elements is an ancient being destined to keep balance in the world no matter the cost. Though times change these beings responsibilities do not. And so has been true since beginning less time. And like so many of his predecessors have before Corin must save the world.”
It actually sounds good, very poetic, very Old English. I like it.
But I added some apostrophes, commas etc. for the sake of grammar haha :D
“Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The Avatar, master of the elements, is an ancient being, destined to keep balance in the world no matter the cost. Though times change, these beings' responsibilities do not, and so has been true since beginningless time; and like so many of his predecessors have before, Corin must save the world.”
I also want to suggest this too, just to add the essence of the plot
“Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The Avatar, master of the elements, is an ancient being, destined to keep balance in the world no matter the cost. Though times change, these beings responsibilities do not, and so has been true since beginningless time; where the spirits, noble and just, brought the breathe of life. Howbeit, evil stirs for the thirst of power and like so many of his predecessors have before Corin, he must undo what has been done, to save the world again!”
"Avatar chirus theme music and title cars starts to roll..tan tananana... :D"
The Cloud Sector is still tradditional, but it's not more. It's just the same with the other Air Nomad territories. It is still very spiritual, I imagined it having a towering air temple and under the temple lies the city. The mountain in which the temple is carried includes falls for the use of waterbenders. Sure its advanced in technology since it is a flying city, but it is till tradditional. The city is divided into levitating "islands" connected by bridges.. here are some pictures of inspiration :) Note that the Cloud Sector has no permanent residence It travels around the world. It fits quite harmoniously for their nation "Air NOMADS"
Okay thanks for the suggestions on the opening...I am not usually that terrible with punctuation. lol xD
Also thanks that puts things in perspective about the cloud sector But just to put all my geographical questions to rest let me just go through a few things.
1) is Republic City part of the Metal District or does it still work outside the 4 nations?
2) From what I gather from the map The Blood Ward is an island off the cost of the North Eastern Earth Kingdom. Am I correct?
3) As of now the only Air Temple you have revisited is the eastern one right? So I can still have at the other three?
4) Like I said in #3 You have not revisited the Northern or Southern Water Tribes. So I can have at those places as well?
5) Just wondering have you looked for art work for the other places like I mentioned above? I have been looking for modern Northern and Southern Water Tribe pictures as well as the Air Temples, Ba Sing Se (which I think I found a great one) and The Fire Nation Capitol.
One last little statement. Trying to find a theme song is proving to be a real pain in the you know what. However did you do it?
6) When I write you see, I always listen to soundtracks from movies. It makes me want to imagine what event is taking place when it plays. I just got used to it :D. Also, the more you know your theme, the more you understand what music it shall bond with. Ex. Hiro is like a chinese James Bond/Indiana Jones- just search a chinese or ethic version of Action theme :D
Thanks now I think I can have most of the art work figured out. I have been looking at all sort of images all day trying to get the right images I decided that th Western temple is going to remain kinda unchanged and it will be a preserved historical site. The Southern and Northern have changed and I figured out their pics. I just need to find them again. As for the others I have been at a loss I have a rough idea of the water tribes but nothing is decided yet. And as for the cities well lets just say they are difficult. I have also stumbled upon pics that I feel need to be in the spirit world. I will share them as soon as I can :)
and don'tforget to make a base fore each Elemental Spirit (especially as winter spring, summer and fall to make it unqiue and unrepetetive of the four nations)
