Hey Thor. Can you change article titles? If so, could you change "Equalist biplane" to "Equalist airplane", as that is what an Equalist actually calls it in "Endgame". Also, could you change the title for "Equalist airfield" to "Hiroshi' secret airfield", as that is what Shiro Shinobi calls it in the newsreel.
Since a biplane is a type of airplane, I do not see why the name Equalist biplane cannot stay. I mean, they are biplanes and being a biplane implies they are an airplane.
I do not recall it even being referred to as Hiroshi's secret airfield. As I remember, there wasn't a newsreel for Endgame.
HoT - there wasn't a news reel ... for us. But if you have access to the individual episode through iTunes; it has one...and he says that there. DKR discusses this in depth with matey; who verified it as well. (Feel free to read the msgs).
Yeah I find the airfield more fitting too... -shrugs-
The newsreel is present in the itunes episode. Check MateyY's wall, you'll see the whole conversation. Also, as for the biplane/airplane issue, since an Equalist actually calls it an airplane, that name is more accurate.
Just because an Equalist calls it an airplane, doesn't make that its name. A more accurate name is Equalist biplane, since that's what it is. If someone refers to a Ferrari as a car, the name Ferrari is till more accurate than the name car.
When the official name is known, that is the title of the article. When the official name is not known, then the most (briefly) accurate description is the title of the article, regardless of whether or not a character literally said it. At least, that's how I understand this.
The name mentioned by Hiroshi doesn't mean that was the official name, but a description of the place that was hiding the airplanes. Nobody knew it existed, hence "secret." It's not so much a secret once it was found. ^^"
The point is that if it was called an Equalist biplane (within the universe of the show) someone might still refer to it as just an airplane. The name biplane is more accurate (since that is the sort of airplane it is), so I believe that should be used.
I know, but I thought that since "airplane" is used in the episode, that should at least be in the title, as opposed to "biplane", which isn't said in the episode.
I don't want to get embroiled in an argument, but I'm inclined to agree with HOT on this. There's not problem with calling something what it obviously is and suppose (unlikely as it is) that someone came out with another type of aircraft? The term "airplane" is now not specific enough. I don't think there's a speculation issue here.
While everyone is here, can I bring up another issue? Pabu. Season One is over and we are still using his concept art. We are going to need to use a picture of him, even if he is in a special outfit, or being held by Bolin.
...the example you gave is not an "we absolutely must switch to this" example...
If there's a reasonable picture to be found we can use it. (via image proposal, as always, no exceptions) He actually hardly got screentime in the later episodes. o.O
I mean, we have some very nice close up shots of him in Bolin's arms, or him wearing his Future Industries outfit. That one in particular would work fine, if we could agree to disregard the fact that he is wearing an outfit.
