So Avatar is getting revived, the original.

It's going to be an actual continuation of the original's story?

Bryke are only advisors for it, I guess like how Lucas is for Star Wars. (Hey if they bring back Aaron Ehasz, I'd be on board.)

So what does that mean for the comics? Are they pretty much fucked?

Or are they just pulling our legs and are just going to make the Chibi-Avatar shorts into a series.

    Y'know, Teen Titans GO! it.

    • Aaah it's probably not real but I'm skeptical because Rocko is getting revived is real? Can anyone confirm it, that'd be nice.

    • I can't find anything specifically confirming or refuting that, but I also can't find anything confirming that's actually Antonucci, or that even if it is, Antonucci has ever worked with Nickelodeon. Plus, those clearly are not concept arts. Whomever it is, they have 3 articles, all of which are about supposed TV show revivals happening a few years down the road. Yet the only one I can find corroboration for is the Rocko's Modern Life movie.

I assume that's the case. With Nick's current mindset of reviving old 90s-2000s shows, it wouldn't be surprised if they did revived ATLA, albeit something that's definitely not costly like Korra and one that can appeal to younger children. Maybe they'll release a spin-off show about Momo, "Adventures of Momo".

I will be working as storyboard artist on the movies with supervision by the shows creators, Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino and Joe Murray"

It just says for a two-part TV movie. What's with Nickolden and their newfound desire to make TV movies out popular shows they previously denied to make a TV movie for? Also, wasn't a TV special for Hey Arnold! scheduled for release in November 2017?

    • I'm curious as to who would voice Aang if this happened. Zach is too old to voice him now.

Probably some talented female voice actress.

The author also claimed last month that "a Fanboy and Chum Chum Movie has officially been greenlit by Paramount" and "the release date for the film will be on November 6 2019". Nope, if Paramount penciled in that date, it would be captured on Box Office Mojo.

    • I highly doubt a Fanboy &  Chum Chum movie is happening, let alone 5 years after its cancellation. Firefly, on the other hand...

    • Much as I'd love to see Firefly revived, I doubt that's ever gonna happen. Aside: I've actually been rewatching the show lately.

As for this "announcement", I'm highly skeptical myself. The alleged concept art looks more like someone's fanart drawing of the original Gaang than anything official, so until something firm comes up from a verifiable source, I'm gonna call this bogus.

    • I hope that's not going to happen, tbh. Personally, I feel like that would ruin everything the creators and Co. have worked on so far, especially after Nick's "no" and now they are going to revive it all of a sudden? I don't want to believe this and I won't until there's valid evidence besides a random post with a bad preliminary 'concept art' that came out of nowhere.

    • Agree with Korra. I prefer this franchise to end ( except for the comics ). I actually wouldn't like to see sequel of LOK either. I just think that they will eventually run out of ideas and ruin this awesome series.

It's called "milking it for all it's worth". They've been doing that to Star Wars for decades.

God, I hope that doesn't happen for Avatar. Quality> Quantity

Agreed, it looks more like bad fanart done in MS Paint than an official release. As to this happening, they tried it before, the idea was shot down, and then the creators moved on to making LoK. Still not very hopeful though.

    • I'm not even going to say it looks fake. It is so obviously not concept art, so far away from how concept art actually works, that it clearly must be a joke. The only question is what kind of joke, & the answer to that, I strongly suspect, is that it's a troll blog.

As I said, there's no way to really know if it's Antonucci. Even if it is, frankly the guy blatantly lied about showing what's under Double D's hat in the Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy movie, indicating that he is definitely willing to troll his fans.

    • Just in case it wasn't clear to some, Danny Antonucci is a veteran and reputable animator. The author of these posts is likely an impostor of him. Only 3 posts were made from that account.

Yep, it's fake. Let's move on.

    • He's also most famous for creating Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy, in fact the series sometimes breaks the 4th wall to reference him.

"Now it's time to meet your maker!"

      "Antonucci!?"

    • It just needs a few motications for this Avatar: The Last Airbender TV Movies otherwise it turns out great
