    and Sokka throwing his boomerang at Combustion Man, that showed his friendship to Zuko, right?

    • He was attempting to stop Combustion Man to keep them alive, to prove tht he wants to join them, yes.

      No, Sokka was just trying a new angle of attack (pun detected *beep beep* pun detected), not doing so to rescue Zuko. At that point, they thought he was flung over the cliff, but the screenwriters rescued with the old "hanging tree branch over cliffside for the good guy to grab instead of falling to their death" trick.

    • The Gaang was preparing to capture Zuko, but Zuko's stunt against Combustion Man to show he wants to side with Team Avatar prevented that.

    • They weren't attempting at all to capture Zuko, they simply did not want him there. They would not want to risk attention from the Fire Nation while in exile.

      But, yes, he attempted to stop Combustion Man, and that proved his wanting to join them.
