  • what if katara toph and zuko teamed up with korra to help fight kuvira together and we see them actually fight

    • sorry. no. that not going to happen. Katara and Toph are too old for fighting. Katara didn't help with the water tribe civil war because she was too old for fighting.

I'm getting the idea that all fighting in general is being frowned upon in the show by some. Fire Lord Izumi refused to let her army fight due to the Fire Nation's violent history, and Korra tried to get the spirits' help, but they refused for the same reason.

    • Kata and Toph are too old as highlighted in "Operation Beifong."

We don't know where Zuko is or what he has been doing but it would be awesome if he showed up and helped. Frankly, as an ambassador of peace and the co-founder of the United Republic, I'm surprised he hasn't been more involved at least in trying to find a diplomatic solution.

    • Zuko's a coward. Aside from a failed attempt to stop P'Li from being freed, he spent Book 3 at home in the Fire Nation protecting Izumi, and only returned to Republic City after the danger had passed, for Jinora's master ceremony.

At your nineties you won't like the idea of spending your time fighting in a bloody war.

Katara and Toph? What about Zuko? He's older than both of them.

    • They are all very powerful benders and in their prime would have played a larger part in stopping villians (as they have done for the most of their lives), but as Toph said, they are too old to be fighting. Dispite being super powerful bending heroes, they are still old people.

    • I think Bryke purposely made Toph said that she, along with Katara are too old to fight and that this is about Korra's journey and that, their 'fighting days are over" because fans kept asking wheteher the original team avatar will be fighting or not.

This are my thoughts, that is.

    • I agree with StarBoiz19, LoK has always been about Korra's journey to becoming a fully realised avatar in her own right, not to be a shadow to her predecessors like Aang. I believe this to be the case ever since Korra lost her connection to her past lives in Book 2, as though the creators are saying this is about Korra and the next generation, forget about comparing the show to the original series (and Korra to Aang). It's nostalgic to see the guys from the original Team Avatar (as well as Iroh) make cameo appearances but now's the moment to enjoy Korra for what it is and has been on its own terms and merits. Witness Korra become the "legend" she is growing to be, and not have people constrain it just because it did not meet their expectations of it being like a copy and paste of the original series.

    • I was surprised however to see that Toph didn't do anything to stop Kuvira from cutting the spirit vines.

    • I just wanna see Zuko, Katara and Toph meet and have a nice dinner or tea with old people talk. :)
