So korra's metalbending now, but when are we gonna see her bend lightning? Mako can do it, maybe he'll teach her?
Thoughts?

Well, I doubt she'll learn combustionbending or bloodbending, but plantbending, sandbending, seismic sense, lavabending, and blue fire, maybe.

From what I understand Blue fire out of a firebenders is not a skill but just something you are born with.
Actually, blue fire isn't necessarily an inborn trait. Azula didn't start out with blue fire: when she was displaying her firebending for her grandfather, her flames were the standard yellow/orange/red. The blue flames come from her endless training to attain perfection in her firebending on top of a powerful firebending bloodline.
Question. Excluding Book 1, when was the last time we've seen ANYONE (including Mako) generate lightning? Anyone?
That would be Mako shooting lightning at an oncoming swarm of spirits during the Book 2 finale, I think. I'm actually fairly surprised he didn't whip it out against the Red Lotus in their latest encounter. I'd say lightning is a fair match for P'Li's combustionbending.
@TANC
Yes it is. I think its a bit OP that P'Li can curve her combustion blasts, what do you think
A bit, yea. But then again all of the Red Lotus members are pretty OP, so I'm just rolling with it for now.
wait, when did mako shoot lightning at the spirirts? on oogi?
as far as SSBW (sparky sparky boom woman) goes, it also appeared that she had to preset the trajectory of the beam, and that she couldn't curve it after launch, which makes it a little better, but that's something that's hard to confirm, so we'll likely not get an answer on this.
He used lightning in that cool "hold the line" shot, where everyone's lined up and bending at a horde of spirits in the Tree of Time area. I forget when specifically, but I distinctly remember that one shot.
