That last moon picture was a close-up, so proportions are likely to be distorted somewhat.
But yes, their moon also seems to be much larger than our moon. Especially in the little space-view in Spirits, where Earth is smaller than Real Earth and Moon is much bigger than Real Moon.
True about the close-up, since it has to do with the camera lens and probably other camera doodads doing things I can't fully describe at the moment. But I've never seen any real world instance, in which the image from one lens or camera can completely keep two subjects in focus, while one subject is within a normal shooting range, and the other is at a telescopic distance; all the while the telescopic subject has a close-up .
Even if it looks ever so slight, if you were to take a legit measurement, those moon images would be a decent amount larger than ours. Also, the moon does seem to grow in the finale for Book One. If anything I'd attribute just that episode's moons to artist error, or maybe even they were trying to make it seem that much more significant to the plot.
- I stand corrected. [moon close-up 1], and then [moon close-up 2] just in case you questioned the first one. A bird or something even flies through the view in the first one. So, I guess it depends on the camera being used, thus I take back my statement about the shots with Appa looking a little ridiculous, those look fine to me. And to clarify, the overall consistency of having a larger moon isn't an error to me.
- Still, as you can tell from the second video, when zoomed out, our moon's image is much smaller.
The thing is that there are a lot of factors that affect the moon's apparent size. I don't see how I could take a measurement without knowing the moon's present distance from the planet, the angle of the observer, & so forth.
There has also apparently been a great deal written about something called the "Moon Illusion."
I was talking about measuring screen area, but I guess in order to account for the moon's image changing in size through its path, one would need more than one image of it on the same night. Even then, theirs still is probably going to come out larger.
How can waterbenders bend at daytime? The power of the sun is still present at night:moonlight, starlight, sunstorms, greenhouse effect warming the planet etc.

The Sun and the Stars are completely many million kilometers away from the planet.

Waterbenders are not powered by the moon directly, as they got bending from the lion turtles, but the spiritual connection between Tui/Yue and La is very powerful, so of course that would strengthen their waterbending at night, especially during a full moon, where the moon is at its brightest and fullest.
I do not think lunar eclipses have much effect on waterbending, otherwise both water tribes would have been completely demolished during the 100 Year War. This is likely because, as I said, the moon strengthens, not powers, waterbending.
As for when Zhao killing Tui, like I said, the spritual bond between the two spirits. It's like in Age of Ultron when (spoiler alert if you haven't seen it) Wanda sensed her brother's death and if caused her great pain and agony. We don't know a lot about "spirit science", so it's really anyone's guess.

I see
the eclipse only lasts 8 mins, so they CAN bend at night
