  • Now that the portals are open can Iroh travel back in to the human world. He has a lot of knowledge on the spirit world but can he go back into the real world with his physical body being died for many years. Would his spirit travel to his body, or be able to move freely in the real world, or he lost all human connection to the real world that he cant even pass. any thoughts

    • Welll I think that he probably could travel out of the spirit world, since his body died years ago and his spirit lived on in the spirit world doesn't that technically make him a spirit? I am actually not entirly sure that is just my theory for now, the only ones who might know at this point are 'Nickelodeon'. I hope this becomes clear in season 3 and 4 of 'Legend of Korra', because now I'm really intrigued to know if Iroh can travel into the mortal world.

    • I think he would be able to travel to the material world but he'd end up in the same situation as Aang when he tried to return to his body in the winter solstice episodes whereby he couldn't interact with anyone. He'd be trapped in between the worlds until he returns via the portal

    • Its questions like these that make you realize new plot points open massive cans of worms...

    • You're telling me... However it happens, I'd like to see Zuko's reunite with his uncle at some point.

That would probably be the most emotional moment in the entire franchise, even moreso than Zuko's reunion with Iroh in Sozin's Comet

    • I like to think that Zuko will make a pilgrimage into the spirit world to see his uncle one last time. Zuko is getting old, if he doesn't do it now, he may never get a chance. Until Korra told him about Iroh, Zuko probably didn't even know that Iroh ascended to spirit form. Possibly something that could have happened during the 3 year gap.

    • Pretty much undeniably possible for him to visit, now that he doesn't need a physical body. He probably wouldn't do it often or unless he really feels that he has to though, because the reason he left was because he felt like he's done everything he can do in the physical world. It was time he moved on to somewhere else, and it's not really that deep or special if you're coming back to visit all the time. I would think that instead his family would go to visit him (or accidentally running into him while in the spirit world). It would have been cute if the younger General Iroh had a run-in with him during the series.

Wouldn't be suprised if in the end of his lifetime, Zuko decided to do the same and stay with Iroh. Iroh's an extremely special person to him, and now that he's older and wiser, they can just be great wise old dudes together forever haha

    • Spirits can enter the normal world, so he should be able to aswell.

    • Yes, he can, because his own spirit is in the spirit world. Korra's own spirit went into the physical world so Iroh's could too. He probably hasn't done it though because it just wouldn't be his place. He's found happiness where he is.

    • I don't think you age in the spirit world but there is still a form of time. Iroh probably just went to live forever with the spirits.
