The Search is a trilogy of comics set in the Avatar universe that directly follows the events of The Promise trilogy. The books are published by Dark Horse Comics and will again be written by award-winning comic author Gene Yang and illustrated by art team Gurihiru, who also authored and illustrated the previous trilogy respectively. The first comic was released on March 20, 2013, with the second following on July 10,^[1] and the third on October 30.^[2]

Trivia Edit

• Nickelodeon's rejection of Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko's pitch^[3] for a television movie titled "The Search" that would have explained Ursa's fate led to the conception of this trilogy.^[4]
