Last comic The Promise Part 3

The Search is an upcoming trilogy of comics set in the Avatar universe that directly follows the events of The Promise trilogy. The books will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will be written once again by award-winning comic author Gene Yang, who is also the author of the previous trilogy.^[1] The comic will be released after the debut of the third and final volume of The Promise in September.^[1]

Plot

The Search trilogy will primarily focus on the mystery surrounding Zuko's mother, Ursa. It is also said to reveal details of former Princess Azula's confinement in a Fire Nation mental institution and what effects this has had on her.

The main characters will be the Fire Nation Royal Family, particularly Zuko and Azula. Avatar Aang, Toph, Sokka, and Katara will also appear, but will have a more limited role than they have had in previous comics.

Yang has noted that the series will focus more on the supernatural, or spiritual, side of the Avatar World.^[1]
