Purpose

Protect Ba Sing Se

The Terra Team is an elite platoon of Earthbenders under the command of General Sung. They are seen in the episode "The Drill" and attempt to stop the drill. They are a capable group, organized and coordinated in their actions. In the episode, they eliminate a small amount of tank escorts, but are in turn easily dispatched by Mai and Ty Lee. They wear uniforms similar to those worn by regular earthbenders but wear different colored helmets and armor. When Katara examines a Terra Team member after their failed attempt to stop the Drill, she notices that the member's chi flow is completely blocked, courtesy of Ty Lee. They aren't mentioned after "The Drill", so what happened to them following the Earth Kingdom's fall and release is unknown. They were most likely imprisoned during the Fire Nation's takeover. Though they may have become active once again after Ba Sing Se was liberated.
