Age

Like many character, his age appears to not have a real source, and that even seems quite a bit too old.Thatother1dude 06:35, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Didn't Sokka say that Zhao was middle-aged - in The Siege of the North Part 1? Or am I wrong? :-/ *undecided* Best wishes, Tina T 14:48, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but unless we have a definite figure for his age, that field in the infobox should stay blank. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 14:52, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
I see now. Thanks for explaining! : ) Best wishes, Tina T 14:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
No problem at all. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 15:00, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
I know it's not our standard, but would "middle-aged" be appropriate for the age field? It's not pinpoint but it's something. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 18:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

His death

I know he died because Aang drowned him in the avatar state ,but I thought Aang was against killing people ,please respond! Thank you! Although I guess Aang didn't remember it? Tomatoworm 05:14, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Aang was no longer bonded with the ocean spirit at the time it happened. He had already been set down at the Northern Water Tribe's front gate. Energybender - Talk 21:25, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Did he mean to kill Zhao though? Tomatoworm 22:21, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

It was the Ocean Spirit alone that killed him. Not Aang. And the Ocean Spirit did want to kill him. Remember, the Ocean Spirit only bonded with Aang because Zhao had killed the Moon Spirit. --SuperFlash101 01:30, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
im pretty sure he didnt die spirts dont kill people by contrafy belife it took his bodyand soul hence alive to spirt world to be entrapped for ever in the fog of lost souls techincly hes still alive if you noticedi in legends of korra his hair is greyer then it was in last air bender so if he was dead and a soul why age? makes no sence.

Profile Image

It seems Flash and Thailog are at a disagreement of which profile image to use. I think to stop an edit war from happening between such good users, it should be handled on the talk page. Personally, I like Flash's image, becuase, well it is better quality. Vaznock - Talk 23:21, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Perhaps we should vote on it? The 888th Avatar (Talk) 23:26, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Lets. Vaznock - Talk 23:27, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Yes. Dcasawang1 - Talk - Contributions 23:28, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. —Excelsior, The Flash - (Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me bay-bay!) 23:30, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm, perhaps we should have a general image vote? Like putting up a gallery? The 888th Avatar (Talk) 23:32, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Maybe we should add one image for the voting. Dcasawang1 - Talk - Contributions 23:33, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Not sure which is which, but I like the one not of the moon, focuses more on his face and it's clearer. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:29, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

You know, I'm not entirely sure I like either of them. Let's get a few more options, and set up a gallery. Puragus Talk 01:51, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I would prefer that as well. The 888th Avatar (Talk) 01:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Neither of the images is good, and replacement should only take place when you replace one bad image with a good one. This is not the case here. The original image while darker shows more of the characters. Image #2 is an extreme close up of the character, which can ever be a good thing. Seeing as replacement of a profile image must be a consensus driven decision, I’m restoring the status quo until an understanding is reached. ― Thailog 08:10, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
In my opinion, a full gallery (8 images or more) should be set up so we can have a formal profile pic vote. The 888th Avatar (Talk) 08:18, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I've uploaded two more, one from The Blue Spirit and one from The Deserter. We should also look at what we already have. Puragus Talk 21:43, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Found this third one already here. It's from early on in the series, but I like it. Puragus Talk 21:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Does anyone think that this landslide vote will suddenly shift and we'll end up with another picture? Because if not, I'd say we've decided on picture 3, and we should close voting and replace it already. Puragus Talk 03:56, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Seriously? Anyone wanna respond? If you guys don't respond soon, I'll take your silence for assent, and just change it later tonight. Puragus Talk 00:05, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Do it now. They all suck and this one has won by a landslide already. Vaznock - Talk 00:07, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Fine. Voting over, image change...NOW! Puragus Talk 03:40, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Okay,I know Zhao's age...

From what I've heard,Admiral Zhao was 54 when he died, may he rest in piece.

Sorry, but this probably isn't the best place to post something like this. Our talk pages aren't forums; it's probably better to take this type of post here. Thanks, Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 07:57, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Firebending Master?

Come one, Zhao was never an firebending master. 93.223.207.129 17:24, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Date of death

I'm pretty sure he died in the winter of 99 ASC. I put this in but it was removed due to apparently being speculation. Am I missing something?

The wikia Editor - Talk - Contributions 2:59, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Spirits are able to drag people into the Spirit World, so we don't know for sure whether Zhao did in fact drown. Thus, since we cannot be sure of this, we cannot be sure that that was the date of his death.
Does that answer your question? HAMMEROFTHOR 14:24, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
The reason I'm confused by this is because the article itself states that Zhao drowned after being dragged underwater. Was it ever officially confirmed anywhere?
The wikia Editor - Talk - Contributions 3:09, November 18, 2013 (UTC)
It was originally assumed that he drowned, though not ever officially confirmed I believe, but since it was revealed he ended up in the Spirit World, it isn't clear whether this is in fact true, and thus why it was changed. Any references to him drowning were probably missed when the page was first updated, but I have since edited the article to remove all such suggestions. HAMMEROFTHOR 07:47, November 18, 2013 (UTC)
