About Piandao's Background before the Epasode How do we know this isnt fandom?

The information on Piandao's history came from the Avatar section of Nick.com. http://www.nick.com/shows/avatar/index.jhtml Look under Sokka's Master, character profiles, and then Piandao. Spike815 01:34, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Could Piandao be based on Miyamoto Musashi, who also, aside from being a master swordsman, painted and practiced calligraphy and things 84.250.246.11 17:40, 13 August 2008 (UTC)?

Piandao is based on Sifu Kisu, the show's culture and martial arts consultant. It's not just Musashi, in those days any Chinese, Japanese or Korean swordsmaster would also be a very culturally adept person and thus be respected by all walks of life. That's the classic image of an Eastern swordsmaster.User:PhantomS 15:51, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
