Video[]

I'm debating on where to add that video we were waiting for. And you can apply it whereve you feel it would go best, but due to it's current format, I'm not sure of where to put it. Joey - Talk Contribs 10:00, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Apply it under a section "Video" or something. The 888th Avatar - Talk 10:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Possible reference to romanticism[]

I just viewed a possible reference to a romanticism painting entitled Wanderer above the Sea of Fog ([1]) in the title sequence. Is it worth mentioning? —The Flash - (Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me bay-bay!) 18:19, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

ok um in lok that air bender is aang they confrim it buy the fact taht its all the most recent avatars in order from kyoshi to korra no way is one random air bender gonna be in there and thsoe aren't tenzins colths so maybe change it back cause its most likely ang 20:55, April 26, 2012 (UTC)Naruto generations (wallcontribs)

Exactly, it's most likely Aang, but we can't know for sure, thus adding so would be speculation. Dcasawang1wall 21:04, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
what makes you unsure?
its the avatars doing their naitve bending styles from the four most recent of them if you follow the order so that confirms aang or it wouldn't make sense. just like in lastr air bender they were all in some way related to aang
azula was trying to capture him
sud was suppsoe to be annags trianer but was changed to rokus
pakku trained aang and katara
air nomand most likely aang met him or it is anng or one of his teachers
also only other airbender with a beard is tenzin and those are not his colths. \

I understand that this is almost sure, but we don't have the official confirmation. Dcasawang1wall 21:36, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
hope its ok but i added alittle something to the travia.Naruto generations (wallcontribs) 21:43, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
Ok well who said tahts roku and tahts kyoshi we should makje them all unconfirmed since we weren't told maybe that fire bender is roku maybe the earth bender isn't kyoshi just because she doesn't have her fans maybe its not roku just because he will only get ba mention in this seris at best. maybe thats not korra at the end maybe its katara/.
just because its not confirmed doesn't mean crap the fact is its common sense if they are all avatars then its clearly aang Naruto generations (wallcontribs) 20:16, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
There's a difference. We can know they're Roku, Kyoshi, or Korra because we know how they look like. It's different with Aang because we don't know how he looks like when he's older. Dcasawang1wall 20:21, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
well if its the pervius avatars what evidence do yo uhave besides that that says hes not?
here's my evidence: the opening conists of the four most recent avatars. the air bender is a avatar then yes? what air bender avatar with a beard has been shown? none ( tenzin is not a avatar) and if there was one we was not shown in the last seris. now answer me this. if that air bender avatar isn't aang who else could it be? Naruto generations (wallcontribs) 20:25, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
This has been discussed already, and it was agreed that it would stay as unconfirmed. Just wait to see if that's revealed in the fourth chapter tomorrow. Dcasawang1wall 20:30, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
meh ok for now but all evidence points towards aang jsut saying Naruto generations (wallcontribs) 20:31, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I agree. Dcasawang1wall 20:34, April 27, 2012 (UTC)

Considering the image of an older Aang we saw in The Voice in the Night, I think it's safe to list Aang as the airbender in he opening sequence. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:15, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

Unknown Earthbender vs. Sud vs. Toph's Original Design[]

Problem?

An interview on animesuperhero.com has Konietzko saying how Toph's original design was that of the Earthbender in the ATLA intro.

The Official ATLA Youtube Channel has stated the earthbender in the intro is Sud.

These two statements are not contradictory, as Toph's original design could have been used for another character.

Furthermore, the design does bear a strong resemblance to Sud. (It could also be argued to resemble the Boulder, although the Boulder I'd say has a far larger and more heavily built body relative to their head. Also, no good sources have stated it is the Boulder, thus that would be speculation).

Solution?

The "Unknown Earthbender" is listed as Sud, while the Trivia section of the article maintains the statement that the design was originally meant to be that of Toph.

Related 'Issue'?

Bolin's appearance is also stated to be based on the original design of Toph. Bolin does however appear quite different to this 'Unknown Earthbender', which could be seen as a conflict, however the writers never state how closely inspired by Toph's design Bolin or this Unknown Earthbender are.

Hello!! I did undo your edit again. We had a discussion on the wiki a while back and it was decided, given that the YouTube channel clearly favors making content for "fan-service", that it would not be wise to consider it to be the "word of god". You can see more about that discussion here
Additionally, we need to consider two different things. The "unnamed earthbender" in the intro is just that. Just because it was their original design for Toph, doesn't make it Toph. Likewise just because they reused that design for Sud, doesn't make it Sud. We reference those things in the trivia, but they are still not encyclopedic knowledge. We do not however mention Sud's design being that (or based off that) in the Trivia section at present. It would be good to make it explicitly clear in Policy/Avatar Wiki:Continuity that the Youtube Channel is not considered a good source, as current wording of policy would implicitly include it.
