Lightning redirection[]
Does the artbook (page 65 according to the source on the page) actually list Zolt as being capable of lightning redirection or is he merely listed as being the one who taught Mako the skill? Because, as proved by Lo and Li, you don't actually need to be able to do something yourself in order to teach someone else. So the question is: do we know that he can redirect lightning for sure? - The commentary for Zolt says that the creators, Bryan and Mike, thought that Mako probably learned his lightning skills from his former boss. Despite being a "formal source", Bryan only raises the idea, in any moment takes it as "something real", however, the information can be seen from various viewpoints, since people who have the artbook, since the people who haven't got it.--{{subst:Usuario:Kyawaterbender/autosig}} 17:29, November 4, 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if it's in the same commentary, but I'm certain we have listed somewhere that Zolt teaching Mako was one of the things that they planned to show in Book One, but had to scrape for time. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 18:03, November 4, 2015 (UTC)
- I really don't know about lightning redirection specifically myself either. I don't have the artbook right with me ATM so I can't double-check to see if it's ever mentioned there, but at least in the series, to the best of my recollection neither Zolt nor Mako were ever shown redirecting lightning, though both were shown generating it. - In "Turning the Tides", Mako is shown redirecting lightning when he was caught by an electrified rope at City Hall. The mecha tank tried to stun him, though he redirected the charge back to the machine. Zolt is only shown generating lightning in "The Revelation", though never redirection. - The source for the cut storyline seems to be the commentary for The Revelation. I think that between the commentary and the artbook, I think that if either of them refer to Zolt as having skills, plural, that should be enough. Generation is one skill, redirection in a another.
