[edit] Sandbender
I heard someone that he is not just an immigrant from the desert but also a sandbender, might anyone know if this is true? Felinoel 03:01, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Any Earthbender can sandbend. Scott 03:22, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, true, Any earthbender can sandbend, but some can sandbend A LOT better than others.
- Ah I see, so what you are saying is that there is basically no difference between a bloodbender, swampbender, vinebender, and a waterbender? Felinoel 03:39, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Bloodbending, swampbending, and videbending are subcatagories of waterbending. Scott 04:00, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Scott is right Dgw2008 04:04, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- I never said they weren't subcategories, what I said was they are different then waterbending, their is even a whole style of swampbending called Foggy Water Style Felinoel 14:20, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
They cannot be different than waterbending because it is waterbending. Foggyswamb style is a syle, a way of waterbending. You are bending water but in a different way. Scott 14:34, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes but as Gaoling stated, sandbenders would be better at bending sand then a normal earthbender, or are you saying that every earthbender can easily bend metal, and every waterbender can easily bend blood? Felinoel 14:47, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
I am saying that they have the potential. Sandbenders are earthbenders, but the live in the desert so they bend sand because there is no solid ground. Scott 15:50, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- And I am saying there is a difference between a sandbender and an earthbender, no matter how subtle you make it, there is a difference Felinoel 16:36, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
The only difference I see between a regular Earthbender and one who came from the desert is that the one from the desert is more used to bend sand, it´s a different style, not commonly used in Earthbending. It's an off shot of the main "school" of Earthbending. Sandbenders can Earthbend normally, but I don't think they'd be as efficient as one who has used "regular" Earthbending all his life, the same way an Earthbender who has always used regular Earthbending would have trouble if suddenly having to use sand instead. - Exactly Felinoel 21:30, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
All in all, it's just a matter of adaptation. All that is needed to mention is that he's a desert immigrant, which I think (though I'm not 100% sure) comes from a DVD commentary. Omnibender 21:56, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- All in all its just a different style of earthbending, and yes I am mildly pretty sure it was in the commentary or something, I am positive it was said somewhere other then the show itself Felinoel 22:00, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
