Range?[]

Can it be added to Limits that there must be a range limit for bloodbending? I mean, the times when bloodbending was used were when the victims were only a few meters away. if an opponent is out of range then the connection is lost and the waterbender can't bloodbend. 108.74.182.16 02:35, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Speculation. We'd then have to ponder if they could control others if there was something in between them. (Like a wall or piece of glass) Vulmen (talkcontribs) 05:09, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Bloodbending / Energybending[]

How do people know that Amon took people's bending through his bloodbending? Isn't that energybending? Axel Carrozzo (wallcontribs) 22:07, July 17, 2012 (UTC)Axel_carrozzo

Because it was stated in-series, confirmed by Amon and the Lieutenant ("Everything the Avatar said about you is true, isn't it?"/*Silence.*), and obviously not, because he used Bloodbending.Neo Bahamut (wallcontribs) 00:23, July 18, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. You have answered my questionAxel Carrozzo (wallcontribs) 06:33, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

Limits of Psychic Bloodbending[]

I don't want to track down every reference to Psychic Bloodbending, so I thought I'd just post this here, & see where people think is the best place to put it: "Psychic bloodbending" does not seem as strong without some kind of motion. Yakone couldn't seem to do more than just stun the people in the courtroom & float Toph towards him until his hands were free, at which point, he knocked them all out. Additionally, Noatak almost always moved at least slightly, such as using head gestures, even though he knew Psychic Bloodbending.Neo Bahamut (wallcontribs) 22:11, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

I think either the limits section, or in the psychic bloodbending section itself. I would just rephrase it a bit differently, since any greater physical motion already constitutes regular bloodbending, even if moonless. I'd say psychic bloodbending is just harder to perform, though not stronger. Put two Noatoks against each other, one using only psychic bloodbending and the other using just regular bloodbending, regular bloodbending would win I guess. This has been bothering me lately.[]

If bloddbending can be used for medical puposes, does Katara and the others know this.Pof203 (wallcontribs) 03:33, October 22, 2015 (UTC)

Did Katara Bloodbend While It Wasn't The Full Moon?[]

I was reading the Waterbending page, and noticed something where it mentions when it was first discovered that Bloodbending could be performed at times other than the full moon. Katara used Bloodbending when hunting the commander of the Southern Raiders. Do we know if this was the full moon or not? And if it wasn't, shouldn't it be changed to acknowledge that? If I remember correctly, the creators confirmed that there was a full moon when Katara bloodbent the Southern raiders commander. I cannot recall the source at the moment, but I will see if I can find one. HAMMEROFTHØR (wall) • 11:55, August 4, 2019 (UTC)
I wasn't able to find the comment from the creators, but I found twoimages from the episode which show the full moon. HAMMEROFTHØR (wall) • 12:46, August 4, 2019 (UTC)

Gif for Bloodbending (And for the other bending/scenes too) :)[]

I was navigating the Wiki, and I had a thought: we could insert GIF file showcasing better the fantastic animation-movement of the Avatar series::)

Thanks for reading. What do you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JiunoLujo (wallcontribs) 18:42, 18 February 2024
