Great Gates[]

Doesn't the Great Gates of Azulon deserve to be mentioned in this page? 201.37.60.119 17:18, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Age[]

How do we know Azulon's age?

He was 95 when he died. Valenthyne

Weapon[]

Don't all benders in this wikia have their element as their weapon? Omnibender 01:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Length of Rule[]

In "Zuko Alone, it is said that Azulon only ruled for twenty-three years, not 75 as indicated here. This also brings up a problem with Sozin's age, but I suppose that belongs on Sozin's page, not here. 76.20.177.115 03:46, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

That is a long debate in the fandom: during the episode, it is said 23 years, but in interviews, Mike and Bryan gave somewhat conflicting information regarding the length of rule of both Sozin and Azulon, as well as their age. Omnibender 23:05, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

I would go with the date given in the show. That is the canon date. Anything mentioned in the show should take precedence over all other sources. Therefore, Azulon ruled the Fire Nation for 23 years.

Gotcha. Haven't seen/read many of the interviews, hence the confusion. 76.20.177.115 03:55, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Check ASN, they have some interviews worth reading. Omnibender 20:04, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the suggestion; I'll go do that. :) 192.203.222.62 20:42, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
May I ask what ASN is? I'd love to read those interviews... because I was coming up with like, one hundred fifty year old Sozin and a very old Azulon who only ruled for two decades.
Avatar Spirit Network. Just google "Avatar Spirit", it's the first site. Omnibender - Talk 00:38, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

There is a difference between his length of rule displayed on the featured article and in his main article. On the main page, it says 73 years, and here it says 75. And isn't it 23 years anyway? Be it 73, 75, or 23, each must read the same on both pages. I only pointed this out, I can't seem to edit featured articles, and I'm not sure what everybody really wants here. Energybender 15:50, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

In Zuko Alone, during his funeral, it is said 23, but in the interview Mike and Bryan gave, they said he reigned for 75 years, I put the creators words on a higher platform than the show. Omnibender - Talk 16:21, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay, but can you fix the featured article? It still says 73 years there. Energybender 17:01, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Sure. Omnibender - Talk 17:14, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I have a tendency not to agree with this. The show is what actually happens. How can it be less trustworthy than anything else, even if the creators claim otherwise. If they miscalculated then so be it. They already miscalculated on the fact that Roku and Sozin were ZUko and Azula's great-grandfathers rather than great-great-grandfathers. This length of rule miscalculation is less bad though. Sozin is said to have been ancient, and as Kyoshi reached 230, why wouldn't Sozin reach 150. -- Nychus (who does not have an account here), 9/9/2008

Roku and Sozin are Zuko and Azula's great grandfathers. Ozai is the father, his father Azulon is their grandfather, and Sozin, who's Azulon's father, is their great-grandfather. I think you added a non-existent generation there. Omnibender - Talk 23:04, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Hardly the point of what I meant (or this discussion for that matter). I know they are their greatgrandfathers but it does not make sense (the creators miscalculated in the number of generations). The way it is, Ursa's mother or father had to be born at least 112 years ago, and even if it were the case Ta Min would have been 70 at pregnancy, not to mention the difference in age between Ursa and her mother/father. My point was that miscalculations happen in the show and we just have to live with them. The show is what really happens in my opinion, and hence it should be the number one source -- Nychus, 10/9/2008 12:56 CET

Sozin fathered Azulon after Roku's death, and lived to be 102, that would make him about 82 when he fathered Azulon, so it's not impossible for there to be very big age differences in that universe. Pathik is 150 and he definitely doesn't look like it, I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to have a child, so it's perfectly possible for Ta Min to have been that old when she gave birth, and for that child to be a parent to Ursa. Abusive and a torturer parent?[]

It seems to be implied in the flashbacks of Zuko Alone, that Azulon was abusive and perhaps a psychological and physical torturer, due to his threat aimed directly at second son, Ozai, would this be seems accurate of his treatment toward his second son. Would it be worth adding?--JustaNobody (wallcontribs) 04:18, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

Not enough evidence. Also, judging by the way he didn't completely disown Iroh for puling out of an almost 2-year siege on the Earth Kingdom capital - and nearly winning - he isn't abusive at all. A single threat, made at Ozai for trying to usurp his brother, is not enough. Frui (🌹🐝🐝🐝) 06:22, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I just meant toward his younger son and his family, not at all towards his elder son.JustaNobody (wallcontribs) 04:26, March 2, 2014 (UTC)
