"Now that you have learned the secrets, and you know about our tribe's existence, we have no choice but to imprison you here forever... Just kidding... But seriously, don't tell anyone!"

The Sun Warrior Chief has been head of the Sun Warrior tribe for over twenty years. His followers appreciate his adherence to traditions. The Chief's main goal is to keep his tribe secret and protected. He is aware how valuable the dragons are to the world and he wants to keep them safe.
As the leader of the tribe, he has a deep spiritual reverence for fire, as representing energy and life. He met Iroh when he came to the Sun Warrior ruins and learned the original way of Firebending. He takes Sun Warrior philosophy very seriously. However, he is shown having a very strange sense of humour such as pretending to imprison Aang and Zuko for life because of their knowledge of the dragons and the tribes. This statement worried the two until the Chief said he was only joking.
If he and the Sun Warriors ever came out of hiding after the war is unknown, but highly unlikely.
