Star and her friends tricked by Toph and Katara
Star is from one of the richest families in Ba Sing Se. She and her friends tease each other about being soulless and lacking character; indeed they are truly hollow inside.
Star appears to be a young woman in her teens. Her expensive looking clothing indicates that she enjoys a life of wealth and privilege. Star is arrogant, haughty, and inconsiderate. She and her friends are superficial, callous people who enjoy making fun of those they consider beneath them.
After Katara and Toph leave the sauna, with make-up on their faces, Star and her friends make fun of Toph's make-up. Toph is upset by these remarks and Katara tries to urge her to ignore them. Toph, however, laughs back at the girls and then Earthbends the ground from under them sending them into the water. Katara finishes with her own parting shot by washing the girls downstream.
