Pema performed this tune in an attempt to amuse the bored and impatient evacuees while they waited for a train to leave Republic City during the invasion of the United Republic of Nations.[2]
"Leaves from the Vine"[]
Performed by: Iroh
- Leaves from the vine
- Falling so slow
- Like fragile, tiny shells
- Drifting in the foam
- Little soldier boy
- Come marching home
- Brave soldier boy
- Comes marching home
"Leaves from the Vine" is a popular children's song, and similar to a lullaby in the Fire Nation's vernacular.[9] Iroh sang it in the marketplace of Ba Sing Se to help calm down a crying boy, and later sang it in remembrance of his deceased son, Lu Ten, on the latter's birthday.[10]
"Love is in Your Heart"[]
Performed by: Chong

- Lose the love because it's in your heart.

- Who protects the icy tundra? Nuktuk!
- Battling Northies out there in the snow.

- He's Nuktuk, the hero of the South.
This song was performed by the narrator at the end of the premiere of The Adventures of Nuktuk: Hero of the South.[11]

- A war divides their people, and a mountain divides them apart,
- Built a path to be together.
- ... (yeah I forget the next couple of lines but, uh, then it goes.)
- Chorus:
- Secret tunnel!
- Secret tunnel!
- Through the mountain!
- Secret, secret, secret, secret tunnel! Yeah!
Chong performed this tune to tell the tale of the Cave of Two Lovers and later remembered the forgotten part as "and die!".[3] This song is said to be Kya's favorite song.[12]

- Badger-mole gone,
- Oh where, oh where
- Can he beeeee?

"Work shanty"[]

- I've got cheeks like ripe brown fruit
- They shake like boughs in the storm
- I blush bright red when I see a bed
- And leap at the sound of the horn
Performed by: Lee
- I've got a nose like a dove-tailed deer
- I run like a leaf on the wind
- My arms are slight and my waist is tight
- And I don't have a thought for my kin
Performed by: Kyoshi
- I've got two knives that are cast in bronze
- They pierce all the way to the soul
- They draw you in with the promise of sin
- Like the moth to the flame to the coal
- I've got hair like the starless night
- It sticks to my lips when I smile
- I'll wind it with yours and we'll drift off course
- In a ship touching hearts all the while
- For the way I walk is lantern lit
- That leads you into the night
- I'll hold you close and love you the most
- Until our end is in sight
This song is a shanty sung by sailors and farmers to make their work less mundane. The words of the song are usually changed to make the subject different each time it is sung, while others guess who the subject is. Kyoshi's rendition of the song was specifically notable, as it is supposedly similar to a love poem written by Kuruk and her singing it hinted at her identity as the next Avatar.[14]

Trivia[]
- Iroh's original rendition of "Four Seasons" was intended to foreshadow Sokka and Yue's romantic relationship,[15] with an instrumental version of the song also played during the most significant moments between the couple.
