History
Edit

Added by RenatablsThe village of Shu Jing is renowned because of the famous sword master Piandao who lives above the village in a large castle. This is also the village in which Avatar Aang and his friends stopped to watch a meteor shower; when one meteorite landed in the grasslands, Aang, Katara and Toph used their bending to put out the fire the impact had ignited. Once in town, while the group had smoked sea slug for lunch, Sokka realized he didn't contribute much to the group. They went to a weapons store located in town, to "reinvigorate [Sokka's] battling" and cheer him up. After testing out a large variety of weapons, Sokka saw a sword made by Piandao. After this, he went to the sword master's posh dwelling and learned the way of the sword.[2]

Piandao's castle
Edit
- Main article: Piandao's castle

Added by Water SpoutFormerly the home of a Fire Nation nobleman, this castle sat unused and in disrepair for many years. Piandao cleaned, painted and landscaped it all himself, making sure all the elements were in perfect harmony. Perched high on a cliff overlooking the town, Piandao's castle is huge; it boasts sixteen bedrooms, two gardens, a sword-making foundry, and stables. The white lotus motif can be seen throughout the castle, including on the front door. Other objects of note include the lion turtle sculptures located in the rock garden.[2]
Weapons store
Edit
The weapons store, run by a shopkeeper, is the biggest vintage weapon store in the Fire Nation, and sells a wide variety of weapons, including but not limited to halberds, maces, jos, pikes, nunchuks, sickles, bladed staffs, clubs, scimitars, chains, glaives, monk's spades, guan daos, and naginatas.[2]
Trivia
Edit
- The design of the waterfalls near Shu Jing is meant to resemble the Gullfoss waterfalls in Iceland.[3]
