The sea lion is an aquatic creature that is used in the Fire Nation as a mode of transportation over the seas. This large and powerful creature is used to pull boats that lack engines or sails.

A sea lion was used to transport the children of Fire Lord Ozai, Princess Azula and Prince Zuko, as well as their friends, Mai and Ty Lee, to Ember Island.^[1]

Anatomy Edit

The sea lion's skin is maroon-brown, with a tan underside. It has small ears and small eyes, a large nose, and a somewhat portly snout, with short whiskers coming off the sides of its cheeks.

Connection Edit

The real-world sea lion is a marine mammal. It is distinguished from the seal in that it has small ear flaps, whereas the seal does not.
