Eruption

A small Fire Nation island which bore and was home to the previous Avatar Roku. Over 100 years ago, it was home to a prosperous village. When Roku wasn't attending to his Avatar duties, Roku and his wife Ta Min dwelt peacefully in a modest cottage here, raising their family. Currently, the isle bares the resemblance of a barren wasteland, showing no signs of past or present civilization. This is a result of a volcanic eruption which took place 112 years ago that buried the island village in deep ash. In the end, Roku and his dragon, Fang, lost their lives battling the volcanic eruption in the effort to save the island.

Avatar Aang and his friends recently visited the island in secrecy so that Roku could share with Aang the story of their pasts and the War's origins.
