Rock Gloves

Rock Gloves are the favored weapons of the Dai Li. Agents wear the rock gloves on their hands and can use them in battle by Earthbending them like a stone punch at an opponent standing across the room, using them to snatch someone from behind without getting close enough to be detected, or locking them like cuffs around a person's wrists or ankles. Agents can also use their bending to bond them with stone walls, allowing them to climb up like spiders. Also, each of their joints can be shot similar to darts with enough force to embed themselves in walls.

They have been used ever since the founding of the Dai Li by Avatar Kyoshi, as they are seen training with them and exerting enough force to crack a wall while climbing up it.

Ironically, the gloves seem ineffective at restraining Earthbenders as handcuffs. In "The Earth King", Aang disassembles his own cuffs with Earthbending simply to wave at the Earth King, before reforming them, indicating it does not require much movement. While it would seem the Dai Li keep the gloves in place, this would fail if they faced a stronger Earthbender. It is also possible that the Dai Li temporarily released his cuffs to allow him to wave at the Earth King.
