The radio operator is an Earth Kingdom soldier tasked with operating the city-wide communication system of Ba Sing Se.[1]
History[]
The radio operator was stationed at a broadcasting tower in Ba Sing Se. When Zaheer, P'Li, and Ming-Hua made their way into his station after the airbender murdered Earth Queen Hou-Ting, he instantly reprimanded them for trespassing. Zaheer tried to calm him down, calmly asking how he could make a city-wide announcement, but the operator would not cooperate, briskly asking who Zaheer thought he was. Before he could say any more, Ming-Hua surged forward and lifted him up in the air with her waterbending, telling him that Zaheer was the man who just murdered Hou-Ting and rhetorically asked if he wanted to be next. When Zaheer asked him calmly again if he could help them, the frightened operator nodded and was subsequently tossed against his desk to make the necessary arrangements. After readying the system, he moved out of the way to give Zaheer access to the microphone.[1]
