The Pao Family Tea House is a formerly popular tea shop owned by Pao in the lower ring of Ba Sing Se. In "City of Walls and Secrets", Pao hired Zuko and Iroh as waiters. Iroh, discovering that the tea made there was terrible, began brewing his own tea and became the shop's official tea-maker. From that point on, the shop became enormously popular, with Iroh praised by many people as the greatest tea-maker in Ba Sing Se. It became frequented by Jin, who had a crush on the waiter, Zuko. While Pao tried offered various promotions to keep him, Iroh's tenure as tea-maker, and presumably the shop's popularity, came to an end when Quon financed a new tea shop for him, the Jasmine Dragon. Its also here, where the fight takes place between Jet and Zuko, when Jet tried to reveal that Zuko and Iroh were Firebenders.
