Mrs. Sato was the wife of Hiroshi Sato and the mother of Asami. A loving and caring woman, she was killed by a member of the Agni Kai Triad during a break-in and robbery at the Sato estate.[1]
Mrs. Sato met and married Hiroshi Sato, and in 152 ASC she gave birth to their daughter, Asami.[1][2]
Six years later, the Agni Kai Triad raided the Sato estate. Mrs. Sato lost her life during the break in at the hands of one of the members. This tragic event was the primary factor in manifesting Hiroshi's deep hatred toward all benders, eventually causing him to join the Equalists to avenge her death.[1]
Mrs. Sato shares a similar past to that of Kya, the mother of Katara and Sokka, who was also killed by a firebender that entered her home when her children were very young.
